0. phoneArena posted on 25 Feb 2012, 10:39

Samsung has flat out said that it wouldn't be releasing any information about the Samsung Galaxy S III at Mobile World Congress this year, but that doesn't mean that the rumor mill is going to stop for the event...

This is a fantastic news, can't wait for device to release

Either way this phone is gonna be epic.

Samsung hold all the aces in the deck of cards for sure right now.

2. Hello-dirt posted on 25 Feb 2012, 11:02

As long as the phone is still the same size as the Epic Touch then I'll be in line to buy this beauty. I'm very happy with the epic touch and look forward to be epic-ly touched again.

4. simplyj posted on 25 Feb 2012, 11:17 3 3

9. Guest_star posted on 25 Feb 2012, 11:41 3 1

lolololo, sry for my reaction but if this happens any time soon this will be such a fail from marketing point of view, I mean they released SGS II just a few months ago in the US and if they do this simultanious release of SGS III in all markets before june/jully all americans will be, and with a good, reason pissed off because they just got their hands on SGS II and now samy introduces SGS III. lololololol I hope that this will not happen because i don't have anything against samsung but it will be a really bad marketing move imo...

12. torr310 posted on 25 Feb 2012, 11:51 2

that means price of SGS2 will drop a lot

14. Guest_star posted on 25 Feb 2012, 12:35

dude I'm not talking about price here I'm talking about huge amounts of stupidity of doing something like this, there are a lot of people who waited for the SGS II for a long time and when it finally hit the US market they bought it and what do you think how will hey feel when they find out that samy will launch SGS III just a few months after they spent all their money on SGS II, they will be furious, I know I would be furious...samy makes great phones but if they do this in near future that will be one of the worst decisions because USA is the biggest(richest) market and they do not want to lose that, not even by 1%

23. p0rkguy posted on 25 Feb 2012, 14:12 2

No, because those who got SGS2 off-contract will likely get SGS3 on-contract. Those who got SGS2 on-contract are typically early Android adopters. They don't know any better and that's their fault, not the manufacturers.
But then again if the general public can "forgive" Apple for re-releasing the same phone after 16 months, I'm pretty sure they can forgive themselves for being so naive.

24. remixfa posted on 25 Feb 2012, 14:33 7

good thing the general public isn't like that. the sgs2 launched almost a year ago. blame the carriers for waiting so long to launch in America. you think Samsung WANTED to lose months of sales for no reason? there are tens of millions of sgs1 owners out there that are patiently waiting for the sgs3 to launch... so I say hurry it the heck up. to sgs2 owners that cry foul... what did u think the world was going to pause until you were ready to upgrade again??? lol you have the best dual core phone on the planet... shush.

27. ph00ny posted on 25 Feb 2012, 15:14

yup

i got mine back in april. I'm never buying another carrier branded phone purely due to three reasons

Updates
Alteration (software and hardware)
Release schedule

44. Guest_star posted on 28 Feb 2012, 15:23

I'm not blaming anyone, I'm just saying :))

32. lukasound posted on 25 Feb 2012, 16:35

so you would prefer that they release it in europe and asia first, and make you wait again?

10. nihn75 posted on 25 Feb 2012, 11:45 3

S-pen??? PLEASE???

43. max.wyght posted on 28 Feb 2012, 15:15

I'm with ya bro.

Wanted to buy the note purely for the S-pen fun, but then I figured:
"wait, Sammy's launching the SGSIII in less than 5 months. I've been waiting for that beasty for the past 12 months. Am I actually going to buy a phone that'll become mid range in less than half a year?"

So now I'm hoping the SGSIII will come with an S-pen, and if not, i'll hope that some case makers make a case with a slot to slip an S-pen, and buy the pen individually.

Ehhhh same old, same old Crapsung will never get it right. The so called "premium" SGII fell from friends hands to the floor.Needless ti say the poor thing broke on 10 places. Crapsung should look over to HTC yard for a litttle "education" how to build devices;p

15. audiblenarcotic posted on 25 Feb 2012, 12:42 11

That's an interesting little anicdote considering the fact that every drop test video showed the Galaxy S II hold up extremely well to drops. Especially when compared to a "premium" build phone that I won't name, but it's made out of almost entirely glass.

16. Guest_star posted on 25 Feb 2012, 13:02 5 1

lol ""premium" build phone that I won't name, but it's made out of almost entirely glass." :DDDDD you should have said: "premium" build phone that I won't name, but it's made by apple. :D than people would not have a clue :))))

20. the_s2 posted on 25 Feb 2012, 13:23

Thats a solid L-I-E. I guess you owned the chinese mock up. Mine one fell atleast ten times, thrice on concrete, and once on tarmac. still as good as new. just a few paint scratches on the silver bezel. GS2=most rugged smartphone ever.

28. ph00ny posted on 25 Feb 2012, 15:15

that's hilarious considering how mine met the asphalt, concrete, wooden floor several times and stilll works outside of minor cosmetic damage

talk to this!

39. remixfa posted on 26 Feb 2012, 18:06

we sell more samsung phones than HTC phones by far.. probably 10 to 1. we get more HTC phones with cracked screens back in for warranty by far ...probably 5 to 1. do the math.

13. pokharkarsaga posted on 25 Feb 2012, 11:58 2

fast processor,no-bezel,slim,big hd screen phones are the future.samsung is introducing this amazing technology to us.Imagine how many months it will take nokia, apple, blackberry, sony, htc etc to introduce this amazing technology to us if it was not samsung.samsung is best in the electronics arena.now each and every brand is started following samsung.
samsung is the game changer.

17. henrickrw posted on 25 Feb 2012, 13:06

As soon as it is released I´ll pick it up..!!!!

18. remixfa posted on 25 Feb 2012, 13:12 1

if that's all true as well as the quad core exynos, Samsung can just take my money now.lol. sold

29. ph00ny posted on 25 Feb 2012, 15:16

i really hope that it's the a15 cores not the a9

40. remixfa posted on 26 Feb 2012, 18:08

I am too, but even if its the 4xxx A9 exynos, its still die shrunk for a huge boost in power and battery life. Maybe not as great as the 5xxx A15 chips, but still significant even from the SGS2, much less my SGS1.

19. JGuinan007 posted on 25 Feb 2012, 13:16

I don't believe a thing BGR says it basically said the Samsung Galaxy Note LTE was too big anda crap phone why would Samsung leak info to BGR?http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1495972&highlight=bgr+review

21. metoyou posted on 25 Feb 2012, 13:51

This is my next phone but waiting to see the HTC One X if it stack up with S3 or not

26. BioTek posted on 25 Feb 2012, 14:46 1

I highly doubt the HTC One X will.

22. darac posted on 25 Feb 2012, 14:02

Alright, these informations sound downright epic.
If true, the release of Galaxy S3 could be the greatest event of the year. :p

36. 319dmc posted on 25 Feb 2012, 20:30

4.8" is too big. Epic touch was my FIRST cellphone ever, and i had a hard time deciding if it was too big. Now that i've had it since release, i love it. But would never want anything bigger. I think the SII is perfect for the hand and the pocket. Where is the line between a large cell phone and small tablet ?

37. idanielx (banned) posted on 25 Feb 2012, 21:35

Im hoping the samsung g3 will have atleast 10 megapixels

38. solidsnakeduds013 posted on 26 Feb 2012, 18:03

Not happening for sure

41. jamrockjones posted on 27 Feb 2012, 10:28

Screens are getting too big. A 4.3" display with no bezel would be perfect!

42. Forsaken77 posted on 27 Feb 2012, 14:50

I would like Samsung to offer a laptop-dock like Moto does. Sell it for $150 and it'll fly off shelves. Also, Samsung should wait, at the very least, 18 months between major phone upgrades. There's no need to do incremental upgrades every year, but instead do major upgrades every 18 months.
