You should exclude Nokia camera phones, because they are only comparable with themselves

If you are referring to Lumia 1020 then although it has a great cam the fact that it carries 2012 specs doesn't help.

Camera is an important feature not the sole factor when choosing a phone.

And best cameraphone is judged by quality and control not just by quality.

The 1020 is really slow in between camera shots.

You mean to say that the iPhone 5S deserves to be in that list in spite of even outdated specs than the L1020? Cuz the only advantage the iPhone 5S has over the L1020 in terms of specs is the 64-bit architecture of its CPU. I sense a certain level of bias in this article.

Extreme fanboyism led to ignorance and lack of knowledge. Almost all android flagships mentioned here beat nokia in cam speed and video recording and a lot better camera software support.

Well sorry, but you gotta be kidding me when you put cam speed first before anything else.

Well his statements look like overexaggerated. Its not like the lumias are perfect and all. Android flagships are not way too behind, gsmarena's smartphone roulette clearly tells the story. Also cam-speed is important and something to be considered.

Custom kernels tweaks, great third party camera apps is what i was meaning about software not app. And that was 2013. Galaxy s5 has the best camera app i've ever seen so far. And second link wpcentral? huh!

If you mean video without audio, and speed over quality....But I still prefer shot video + audio and have a better picture quality-and in this Nokia is the best.

iPhone produces very natural images, not oversaturated like other devices.

What iphone is doing in the list? is it mandatory to put iphone in all listings/comparisons? even if it is irrelevant?... when there will be a post of best camera minis then it will be fair to put iphone in that list

Lumia isn't best overall. The video recording is pretty bad and there is significant time to wait in between two shots.

Also, the color are highly oversaturated in images.

its because they use auto setting, in the hands of real photographer nothing can beat 1020. good low light pics, large sensor, oversampling, best ois, good low light images, losless zoom, output raw images (.dng files) and good microphone (haac) they put 1020 in another level.

have you ever seen video taken with 1020 recorded in noise area like dancing club or stadium?

'in the hands of real photographer nothing can beat 1020' - A 'real photographer' would carry a real camera.

BTW, Dxomark agrees with me:http://www.dxomark.com/Mobiles/Nokia-Lumia-1020-overview-Has-the-best-got-better.

If they aren't 'real photographers', who is ?
