0. phoneArena 31 Aug 2014, 19:51 posted on

With the LG G Watch R bringing a round face to the manufacturer's Android Wear powered smartwatch lineup, Best Buy has decided to cut the price of the original LG G Watch. This is the main reason why I don't buy products as soon as they release!!

Once released, they always take money off the initial price. Early adapters always spend more to have it first!!

Good deals come to those that wait.

Its also because their next LG G Watch R is going to have more features then their original LG G Watch. Once the R is released, no one will pay for a LG G Watch at its original price. So naturally they have to drop the price. Plus with the Motorola Moto 360, Asus, HTC, Sony, and others all starting to pump out Android Wear smart watches. Competition is going to get more fierce. Considering there is only two Android Wear watches right now as we speak. (LG G Watch, and Gear Live). So this September is going to bring much more.

I think anyone would take it for even $100. Considering its a full fledged computer packed in this Android Wear smart watch. A Snapdragon 400 CPU clocked at 1.2Ghz, with 512mb of ram, 4gb of storage, 9-axis accelerometer/gyroscope/compass, Bluetooth 4.0LE, LCD touch display with a resolution of 280x280, 400mha battery, magnetic wireless charging cradle. Oh and the best part its running the latest KitKat 4.4W on the watch.
So good luck with trying to get one for $50 right now. Its nice to dream.

Give me a break. Please. Do you even know whats packed inside the current generation Android Wear devices. Both the LG G Watch and Gear Live pack the same Snapdragon 400 CPU clocked at 1.2Ghz, 512mb of ram, 4gb of storage. Just those components alone, can you find them in any dollar store today? Of course not. Then there is all the other stuff that is in the Android Wear devices. If you are smart and find them in a dollar store, then you should buy everyone one of them. You could make a killing and sell them for much more money.
