According to tipsters for Engadget, Best Buy has decided against offering the heavily discounted webOS flavored HP TouchPad in its U.S. stores and is shipping the tablet back to HP instead; those who paid pre-fire sale prices for the tablet will get back the difference from the Palo Alto based firm...

I would totally buy one for $100. I mean come on! That's less than a zune hd and that thing is a few years old and has no future either. I mean sure it's not the best tablet by far but still... for $100. Amazing deal.

people r going crazy! im beggining to wonder if it was hps plan all along, i mean, the touchpads made of kind of cheap materials, cheap camera, cheap-fingerprint-supermagnet screen. maybe HP just wanted everyone to buy one so then people start developing apps since everyone will have one by the end of the weekend.

I'm really ticked off that all these people who made fun of OS all of a sudden can't grab them fast enough on clearance, I've been a Palm fan since 1998 and camped out for the first Pre and can't find one anywhere, despite trying since morning. I'd really appreciate the OS!

Yeah it was really hard finding one. I was up at 8 this morning still nothing. I finally found some places. Jr.com, microcenter.com, amazon.com(but they only had 16 left and that was 2 hours ago) and Office Max. Good hunting, I hope you find one.

P.s. best buy appreantly sent back there entire stock of Touchpads maybe HP.com will have some more I stock?

Saw the news on phonearena last night and surfed for them after midnight to find one but none of the prices changed. This morning went to wally world and got 2 32gig versions. Then after spending the rest of the morning being told no more were in stock, HHG had some so I got 2 16gig ones there. Sweetness! My whole family has one now. My brother and I have been WebOS fans so this was a real treat for us. The rest just like having a tablet for the rock bottom price. Just a major bonus its such a sweet pad.
