I believe Radio Shack is selling the 4S for 179.00 but I am not sure if it is carrier specific.

It seems like as Android gets bigger you start seeing more discounts on the Iphone.

Well that goes 2 ways because last week at best buy, if you bought a gs3, you get $100 instant gift card towards the purchase and they'd match the $148 radioshack price. Wal-Mart also had the gs3 for $148 and a $100 gift card as well. This week the gs3 is marked down to $99 for at&t and sprint at best buy. Stop being a homer and understand it's business and nothing more.

Actually it was on sale for 128$ only for a few days.

The price was $199 with the 2 year upgrade, add in the instant $100 gift card and if you signed up for the $9 monthly best buy insurance the gave you an additional $50 off instantly, which brought the price down to $49. Then on Sunday the price went down to $99 and they gave me back a $100 gift card for price guarantee. So in turn they paid me to buy the phone from them. Talk about bargain basement. Again, being a homer only makes people look stupid. BTW, I wasn't calling you a homer inspectorgadget80. Thanks for your input though.

It seems strange, Apple claims they can't produce enough iP5 then why the gift card is needed? BBuy think they'll look nicer if they give back some profits?

Ship time is the same day, they are in stock in all stores in masses. The ipad (new, 4, or whatever name they gave to the current model which only added the lightning connector) is in stock everywhere. The game of Apple selling out because of short supply and long lines is beginning to die down. The speculation of the 5S is in the air--which will probably only add NFC and IO7 to the phone anyway. It's funny when you look at an Iphone because it's made of either a Samsung or LG panel, a Samsung processor--an the major apps include Youtube, Gmail and Google Search--with a lof of folks using the web based Google Maps because of the lack of a decent maps app by Apple. Apple needs to overhaul that ios they are using...it's the same system between a tablet, a ipod and an iphone. I just don't get it.

It's called an ecosystem, you can't be serious! Google does the same thing.

So 12.5% off? That's a horrible deal. Amazon is selling the S3 for only $79.99 when you add a line.

Meanwhile here in Brazil the pre-order price for iPhone 5 16GB is USD 1,150 unlocked and USD 719 in one year contract

This is what is driving the demand up, not the iPhone itself.
