Actually the iPhone 4 has much better hardware than the 3GS. Retinal, better camera, faster processor, front camera.

Not everyone wants to spend $200-$300 on a new phone. For a budget conscious person this is a good deal.

what!?!? aren't you the one that said android sales are mostly from cheap cell phones as well as Apple users are better off so they can pay more for a device!??! how dare anyone lower the price of the iPhone!! normal cheap people might be able to buy one!!! and there goes all your arguments!! Oh wait.. they've been gone for a while as this is nothing new, and you just haven't had the mental capacity to think of new ones. Way to recycle.

Apple hasn't dropped the price. It's RadioShack and Best Buy that are doing this.

Apple doesnt allow carriers to drop pricing without permission. Its part of their contracts to sell the phone... so yea, APPLE is allowing them to drop the price to take businesses from the direct carrier stores.
