Best Buy Mobile's eBay store offering 25% off all smartphones

Let's go through an example. Let's say that you are a T-Mobile customer and even though they lately have been pricing new models at a higher price than the other carriers, you go ahead and start to purchase the Samsung GALAXY Note II for $329.99 on contract. Enter the promo code at checkout and the price is lowered to $247.50. If you have enough fingers and toes, you can calculate that as a savings of $82.49.
But you need to be alert because some of the pre-sale prices on the Best Buy Mobile eBay site are not exactly what the carrier's own website shows. Sprint is offering the Samsung GALAXY Note II for $299.99 while Best Buy Mobile has the pre-sale price listed as $349.99. After the 25% off the incorrect higher price, you would pay $262.50 for the phablet versus the $225 that you should be paying based on the correct price on Sprint's website. That is a difference of $37.50 that you are overpaying.
The promo code will work through December 9th.

Now that sounds like a good Black Friday Deal... 25% off, cool.... Can't beat that NoteII at the moment.... To bad i'm stuck here in Germany, hopefully a Note III will get a deal like that, next year. :)

But make sure you get the right price and not pay too much... Read the fine print before buying...

Didn't work for me :( " We're sorry, the promotion code you entered has expired. Please enter another promotion code or click "Checkout" to proceed with your order".

Today is the 10th of November. Your article says the promo code is good until the 9th of December. Trying to use it on the eBayBestBuyMobile page gets you a message that the code is expired!

Yeah I get same message, looks like there is a writer on PA who never bothered to check facts or verify anything before they reported what a shame this ruins PAs rep especially for the good writers like Ray S, Victor, John V and the great Mikey H who write good articles and spend days meticulously verifying sources, triple checking facts, and still making deadlines to bring incredible, informative, thought provoking, and accurate articles to PAs readers. This writer (I won't mention his name) owes his colleagues an apology by monday morning at the latest.

You mean like they triple checked the Sony Nexus or the Best Buy Black Friday deal that was actually for Radio Shack?

Their storefront is like an organized crime front. $599 for a Lumia 920? I walked out of AT&T for $486, tax and all, so no way I would buy a damned thing from BB Mobile.
Edit: I take that back. Their regular webpage sells for that price, too. They tried to charge me $30 for a SIM card, the other day. Crooks.

Tried this code "EBSAVE25" last night PST about 10pm and it worked, but didn't have all info in front of me, so figured I wait till this morning. Now get the same "expired" message. What's the deal? ...... yesterday was 11/9, so can't be a typo of "November" 8th instead of December 8th.
Unfortunately, I have to make the comment that this is probably BestBuy which is on its way out due to things just like this - screwing the customer.
That said ...... hope the 25% comes back!

Just got off the phone with the best buy customer service. The reason for the price difference is because Best Buy only "Manages" the Best Buy Ebay store. They do not control pricing nor can they price match. So basically, it is just Best Buy branded, they don't own the site which is the reason for the price difference.
My hopes were crushed!

The Lumia 920 sells for the same price on best buy.com and in their E-bay store.

Got very frustrated (at BestBuy) after them taking away the 25% deal and my almost ordering it; but ........ searched and found Walmart had a one-day special on Note 2's ........ only $249.99 and NO tax. GOT 2 of 'em!!!!! So, actually $50 CHEAPER than BestBuy ........... YOU LOOSE BestBuy!

Thanks for the heads up 3mstrrktek7! I got a similar deal on the HTC One X+ minus $50, no tax AND a $100 Walmart gift card! I was about to get in on Bestbuy/Ebay mobile but I stumbled on this! Now I just need to sell back the iPhone and my HTC will be free =)
