Belkin outs its smartphone-connected coffee maker that automates your caffeine kicks
Smartphone-connected coffee brewing isn't anything new, although it is still a novelty and a rare product for major brands. Still, Belkin stepped in and introduced the Mr. Coffee® 10-Cup Smart Optimal Brew™ Coffeemaker with WeMo®. Boy, what a mouthful! Thanks to its smartphone integration, the longname cofee-o-matic makes it possible to schedule, monitor, and modify the brewing process into finally coming up with the perfect cuppa' joe. This happens over Wi-Fi, so instead of dealing with cumbersome Bluetooth pairing, you're facing a set and forget affair. What's best, the coffee will be delivered to you the exact moment your morning alarm blasts off, or you're about to step home after work.

In addition to having a brew scheduler, Mr. Cofee heats the water to an "ideal temperature" of 205 degrees before it flows to the filter basket to extract the good stuff from the coffee grounds. It's sporty, too - it makes a full pot of coffee in about 8 minutes. And if you aren't interested in the smart tricks it can pull off, Belkin's brew-o-tron can be operated manually through a simple control panel and LED indicators. In addition, the coffee-maker boasts double-wall stainless steel construction with vacuum insulation to keep the coffee nice and warm.

Mr. Coffee is out now at $150, and is compatible with all iOS 7.0 and Android 4.0 devices.
