Bean. Jelly Bean. Sony Xperia TL gets Android 4.1.2 update stirred, not shaken
The AT&T version of the James Bond phone, the Sony Xperia TL, is starting to receive its update to Android 4.1.2 from the current build of Android 4.0.4. Unfortunately though, the update is not coming OTA but needs to be pulled out of the Sony PC Companion instead. The update features the usual Android 4.1.2 features like Project Butter which makes the UI as smooth as, well, butter. And of course, it adds Google Now which sends you the information you need when you need it.

Shaken, not stirred, The Sony Xperia TL

The update also adds an extended battery mode option for the UI, a more stable Wi-Fi connection and adds the built-in HDR camera capabilities. Other improvements include a new lock screen and dialer and an improvement to the virtual QWERTY keyboard. Those who have already installed the new OS build are raving about the improved UI and the extended battery life.

It sounds like an update worthy of James Bond. Have you installed Android 4.1.2 on your Sony Xperia TL yet? Let us know what you think of it by dropping a comment in the box below.

What? Sean Connery! He played the slick, sophisticated, debonair Bond not the brainless thug Bond played by Daniel Craig. Oh, that reminds me, are the Bond films still on Netflix?

R U kidding me ! Casino Royale by Daniel Craig was the biggest hit ever in Bond franchise !

Sean Connery is a legend. But that doesn't mean Daniel Craig is any lesser. Keep ur mindless and demeaning thoughts to yourself, this is a tech site !

They are actors, they act how they're told, The producers could have made Daniel Craig suave, but they made Bond a thug instead, The actor has little say in such matters.

Casino royale or sky fall are doing better simply because of better marketing or hype otherwise both movie sucks!

Tried the update today, no good! Sony says they are having "issues", check back later! Great I have both the Xperia TL and the HTC One X and neither one has been updated yet....might as well sell them both and get the HTC One.
