Barmark – a unique Android & iOS game's hauntingly-beautiful trailer holds a lot of potential, and many questions
Barmark is a upcoming Android & iOS game made by Sweden's Stormhatt Studios. Its first trailer is a must-see! The game boasts stunning hand-painted graphics and an uneasy, introspective mood. That's all the short video reveals, as Stormhatt obviously don't want to spoil Barmark's surprises. The developers merely hint at its concept and gameplay elements, with wisdom-like sentences such as "find harmony by forging your own environments, creating worlds to achieve personal perfection" and "experience the calming world, and alter it to your liking".

Judging by the trailer, Barmark plays like a point-and-tap game, but we won't dare try to figure out its story. While there's nothing particularly “harmonious” or “calm” about Barmark's brooding looks and atmosphere, the game already stands out with its philosophical plot and incredible visuals. Especially in a medium where everybody seems to be busy making the next Candy Crusher clone.

Gaze at Barmark's high-resolution paintings and trailer below, and put this piece of art on your radar. We can't wait to see its strange universe unfold on our tablets.
