I wonder how long he will last if Win 8 upgrades (from earlier versions of Windows) are slow to materialize. The upgrade revenues can easily swamp the revenues from new PC sales. If the upgrades (and their revenues) are slow to materialize, Bill has a bad day.

I'm willing to bet W8 upgrades will be the lowest in the past 20 years for MS. W8 might have the best first adaption rate because tablets are getting pushed like never before, but the difference from W7 to W8 is too big and going to have an impact on people wanting to upgrade their computers.

How did Ballmer get this position anyway? He seems like an easy person to replace if things indeed don't go well with W8.

I know in excess of 100 people with Android phones/tablets. I'm a member of 5 Android forums. You know the 1 thing I've yet to hear or see anyone say that they've had issues with on their Android devices? Malware/Virus'. I keep reading the FUD pushing articles about this or that Malware/Antivirus vendor says that this or that threat exists but no one has ever been a victim of these threats. Funnt how that works. Kind of like the Boogey Man....
