The BBM beta for Windows Phone will launch on Thursday, according to a tweet sent out by Jeff Gadway, the head of product and brand marketing for BBM. BlackBerry started accepting registrations for the beta last week, and quickly closed it after 24 hours after being swamped by requests by Windows Phone users. The app is already available to iOS and Android users...

BlackBerry completely failed in phone market so now pushing this BBM crap to other phones. :D
32. apiskula (banned) (Posts: 578; Member since: 25 Jan 2013)
You are correct. They will try anything to survive and not going to be long for them.
37. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
You've been saying this crap for over a year now, and BlackBerry is still here. Over 500 posts and all of them are you trolling BlackBerry articles.
34. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
They ran out of idea. When seeing WhatsApp sold for big $$$, they thought their BBM could worth that much too... LOL.
38. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
Who cares what WhatsCrap was sold for? If still SUCKS.
36. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
You and the rest of the troll brigade really don't have a life, do you?
And for your information, BlackBerry's primary market is the ENTERPRISE MARKET, which they DOMINATE. BBM on other phones is just icing on the cake. Android and iOS users LOVE it, as evident by the millions of downloads on their their respective platforms.
42. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
They download it, and try it because their addict BB fans can't stop asking them to download it, but after they download and try it, they decide NOT to use it.... Proof? In 3 months BBM got downloaded about 45Million times, BUT BBM MAU (Monthly Active User) stay at 85 miillion user. BBM is already peaking, the next thing we see in BBM is GOING DOWN.
And enterprise? You must be kidding me. Every one in enterprise were scared to use BB, they don't want to invest in a platform that won't stay long.
43. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
BBM peaking? You must be joking. BBM is poised to go up to 100 million monthly active users. BBM is now available for WP in beta. Not long after that, there will be a full-fledged BBM app will be available to WP users. And they will download it and use it by the MILLIONS.
And no, I'm not kidding with enterprise. Even a TROLL like you knows that BlackBerry is the LEADER in ENTERPRISE. They own 62% of the market. They have over 80,000 enterprise customers. That's MILLIONS of licences that BlackBerry has. They are larger than their next 3 competitors COMBINED. BlackBerry is here to stay and you can't STAND IT. But you're just going to have to deal with it.
44. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
BBM poised to go up to 100 million monthly? Are you drunk? in the last 3 months BBM stuck at 85 million user. How can they poised to go up to 100 million MAU? If you really believe that number, you really un-trust-worthy. Even, after BBM available for WP, BBM user won't be more. It will be more BB user switch to WP. Just like the way BBM in android and iOS.
BB is not leader in enterprise. At least in Indonesia, BBM is used by cleaning service, and office boy and junkyard salesman. All the top and middle management in big/medium enterprise already dislike the brand. They don't want to be associated with BB anymore.
45. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
BBM is poised for more growth with it coming to WP. You can hate and attempt to spin it any way you like, but it still will not change this fact. Let's watch this space until BlackBerry's next quarterly results. When it is shown that BBM's MAU have grown, how about you MAN UP, APOLOGIZE for being WRONG, and then stay the HELL AWAY from BlackBerry articles all together? Knowing the type of person you are, even when BBM user base has grown come the next ER, you will still attempt to spin it into something negative and not MAN UP and do as I requested.
Are you high? BlackBerry is the ABSOLUTE LEADER IN ENTERPRISE. They are the GOLD STANDARD that everyone entering and is already in the mobile enterprise space wishes to be. This is COMMON KNOWLEDGE and A FACT. You can try to say whatever you want about Indonesia, but your OWN COUNTRYMEN have proved you wrong. Your nothing but a LYING TROLL that likes to spread misinformation about BlackBerry.
3. syncronyze (Posts: 98; Member since: 26 Apr 2014)
Isn't BBM irrelevant at this point..? I don't really hear people talking about it anymore
4. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
Over 160 million registered users, 85 million of them ACTIVE MONTHLY USERS, would say that you're wrong and that BBM IS relevant. I'm one of them.
7. syncronyze (Posts: 98; Member since: 26 Apr 2014)
Seriously? Damn dude. My bad for thinking it was old lol
13. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
BBM was popular in the couple of years back, but since the down of bb, and the era of simplicity (using phone number as the pin), bb wasn't used widely anymore. It is considered archaic dinosaur.
In March 28th, 2014. Michael Heller write an article that BBM user @ 85 million monthly active user, and 115 million registered user (http://www.phonearena.com/news
But, 3 months latter, confirmed by BB fans meanestgenius, BBM user STILL @ 85 million monthly active user, and 160 million registered user.
BBM got 45 million NEW user trying it out, but don't use it for one reason or another. Meanwhile What's App, Line, WeChat each got MORE THAN 300 million ACTIVE user.
So, yes, people don't really talking about it anymore. Some use it just to contact some user who still have not upgrade their BB OS7 device. But mostly when all people in their group upgrade to android or iOS, they will dump BBM, and don't need to ask 'what's your pin' again..
16. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
You're such a liar it's PATHETIC. BBM is popular, and it's popularity is GROWING. Using your phone number as a pin is a sure way to get UNSOLICITED messages from people and companies you don't want to, and is a sure way to get your information sold to the highest bidder. BBM has MORE THAN 160 MILLION registered users and OVER 85 million MONTHLY ACTIVE USERS. And while WhatsCrap, WeCrap, and that BS Line app may have more REGISTERED users than BBM, BBM has MORE MONTHLY ACTIVE USER THAN THEM ALL, INCLUDING WHATSCRAP, which has the largest installed base. This was CONFIRMED by PA themselves in the SAME ARTICLE you referenced.
If you're going to lie, you shouldn't use links that DON'T back up your BS. NO ONE is dumping BBM. They are jumping on it in DROVES, and the simple pin activation protects your privacy, unlike having to use your phone number and then getting unwarranted solicitations, much like your UNWARRANTED AND UNWANTED commentary on BlackBerry articles.
17. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
Maybe you should do more research before praying for the false god.
As I said.... Line have 300 million MAU (monthly active user), WeChat HAVE 396 MILLION MAU (Monthly active user), Whats App has 450 Million MAU (monthly active user), whereas BBM only has 85 million MAU (monthly active user)
don't talk BS. That's the real number!!! BBM is the loosing compared to simpler messaging system such as Line, What's App & WeChat. People don't like to use complicated awkward alphabet sequence (pronounce by bb lover as PIN).
22. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
And you need to get your facts straight about BBM. It's losing to the others? That's a JOKE. BBM has more features and functionality than all of the rest. The pin messaging system is there to protect your PRIVACY. What does WhatsCrap and the rest offer for privacy protection? Nothing!! They sell your information to the highest bidder! WhatsCrap now being tied to Facebook just reinforces this fact!
Does WhatsCrap, Line and WeChat offer as many features as BBM? Do they offer the ability to send messages SECURELY? Do they have a growing feature set like BBM?
Stop filling up BlackBerry posts on PA with your trolling BS. Users now want a SECURE MESSAGING platform, one that's not going to sell every piece of information from like the 3 stooges messaging apps you mentioned. These are facts!! Give me a pin process any day, as long I want get any unsolicited calls, texts or emails from somewhere in Bulgaria or from Nowheresville, Westbubbafck. Or even worse, I find my information used in some bogus internet infomercial that I never officially took part in, but my info got sold for a few bucks nontheless.
25. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
The number say it all. The total user of 3 simpler messaging system is more than 1 billion user. Whereas BBM ONLY has 85 million MAU (monthly active user).
3 months ago, the total number of registered BBM user were 115 million. Now, 160 million user. But the MAU still ONLY at 85 million. That's mean new user try it, but they don't like it. Who want some awkward moment asking, what's your phone number, and then what's your PIN number. NOBODY!!!
27. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
You don't ask for a BBM users phone number. You just get the pin number. Can you not read? Did I not explain it clearly enough? Too many users of WhatsCrap and the rest are used to giving away their privacy every day, even YOU. Good luck with that.
And notice, you need to put 3 messaging services up against BBM. That says it all RIGHT THERE! BBM is and ALWAYS will be better than the rest. The rest will ALWAYS be playing catch up to BBM in terms of features, functionality, ease of use and SECURITY. DEAL WITH IT!
29. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
So, who's stealing the information? The person you want to build the business relationship, or the messaging company (What's App, WeChat, Line)? If you said is the messaging company, why would you not giving the phone number?
I'm a straight/honest man, and I don't affraid to give my phone number, cellular number to my business friend. Because I won't trick them, I won't do bad things to them. and I think if people only give me the awkward alphabet sequence, they might be dishonest.
39. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
The people stealing the information are whomever WhatsCrap sells the info to. I said that in my post. Can't you read?
And you're definitely NOT HONEST, with the way you tell lies about BlackBerry.
18. ch0eb1t (Posts: 5; Member since: 26 Jun 2014)
BBM is super popular here in Indonesia.
I got friends that won't reply sms just because I don't have BB / BBM
26. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
Maybe some user still got the BBM fever. But seeing the trend, BBM in Indonesia will be gone in 2-3 years.
28. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
You always lie when it comes to your own home country of Indonesia, and your OWN COUNTRYMEN are the ones that expose your lies. 2-3 years BBM will be even bigger in Indonesia. I GUARANTEE it.

My fresh Nokia Lumia 1020 is waiting. Time to rest Bold 9900.
6. hanapupu (Posts: 14; Member since: 03 Dec 2012)
I will definetly uninstall my WhatsApp, and use BBM more. :)
10. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
People use it because it is hands down THE BEST messaging client around. It's even more and more like a social network now.
11. BobbyDigital (Posts: 585; Member since: 29 May 2014)
It's comments like this that suck the intelligence right out of me every time I see it. Nothing constructive at all to say.
14. WahyuWisnu (Posts: 1001; Member since: 29 May 2014)
Because they have friend or family that HAVE NOT upgrade YET to android or iOS. Once all the contacts they have use simpler messaging platform that don't need to ask some awkward pin sequence, they will move on and dump BBM.
15. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
What?! There is no "awkward pin sequence" in BBM. BBM is easy to use and it respects your privacy, unlike WhatsCrap and some others that request too much information like your phone number. They have friends and family which did not DOWNGRADE to iOS or Android because they CHOOSE to use BlackBerry. You need to start respecting others choices and keep your ass-backwards comments to yourself.
12. ablopez (Posts: 173; Member since: 15 Apr 2014)
I love BBM. It is hands down the best messaging app out there. If the feature is available for WP, you guys gotta check out the video capabilities. Really clear reception.
23. Sire3008 (Posts: 87; Member since: 26 Sep 2013)
Fanboyism at its best. Stop making a fool out of yourself mate! How much will BBM worth now with less active users? $3.6 billion at most. Whatscrap like u called it was sold for almost 6 times that value!! Anyway, I don't blame u for ur irate comments any time bb is mentioned cos I see u just started using ur dream phone. Back then in 2008 when most of us started using bb, RIM had something to offer.. Back then no one even looked at Whatsapp then! Complacency made bb shot themselves on the leg. They closed their eyes to emerging competition and now they have been badly overtaken never to reclaim the formal glory! Buy a butt hurt cream and stop ranting here.
24. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
Says the butthurt troll he thinks he has what it takes to call me out! How old are you little boy?
I've been using BlackBerry's and all sorts of smartphones while you were still being nursed by mommy. And how do you know what BBM is worth? Provide proof, "mate". I don't give a rat's a** what WhatsCrap was sold for, they still sell your info right under your fat piglet nose. And BlackBerry's GLORY is in the ENTERPRISE MARKET. Nothing to "reclaim" there, as they are the market leader there. I don't give a sh!t about what BlackBerry did in the past. This is the here and now. John Chen is in charge and he is guiding the company in the right direction. Larry-losers like you always like to come to BlackBerry articles and post your BS, always trolling and bringing up the past. Try and stay in the present and be relevant for once in your miserable life. Stop trolling here.

Why don't you wake up and realize that Blackberry continues to try and push these apps because they have failed in the phone market and are trying anything for survival. I do not know anyone that uses BBM at (let alone a Blackberry) and everyone uses WhatsApp. Get of the Blackberry bandwagon and move on and talk about something more interesting like companies like Google who continue to innovate and bring quality software and products to the market that people actually use.
35. ablopez (Posts: 173; Member since: 15 Apr 2014)
You know, you can do this on Google-related articles, if you think Google is more interesting. Why don't you wake up and stop commenting on a platform you obviously don't like, even though you're obviously obsessed with it?
40. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
Why don't you wake up and realize that I don't give a sh!t what you think about BlackBerry?
BBM has been downloaded by MILLIONS of Android and iOS users. Just like you don't know anyone that uses BBM, I don't know ANYONE that uses WhatsCrap.
I don't give a sh!t that you don't like that I talk about BlackBerry. If you don't like it, DON'T READ BLACKBERRY ARTICLES. You say your such a Google fan, but you have NEVER POSTED on ANY ARTICLE ON PA ABOUT GOOGLE OR ANDROID. You're a FRAUD and a FAKE. You don't own ANY Android phone, and you didn't migrate SQUAT off of BlackBerry as you claim you have, ASSpiskula.
Since you are too INEPT to even REALIZE the innovations that BlackBerry is doing, I won't even bother to educate your ass-backwards self.
46. apiskula (banned) (Posts: 578; Member since: 25 Jan 2013)
I currently own a Samsung S3 and I love it. It's way ahead of anything that Junkberry has available. Keep trolling on the bandwagon for Blackberry and keep sinking farther with them.
47. meanestgenius (Posts: 1949; Member since: 28 May 2014)
Your S3 is a POS! You keep trolling BlackBerry articles and claiming your S3 is better. If you like Samsung so much, why haven't you upgraded? There are 2 iterations after that crap S3. You know why you didn't upgrade? Because deep down inside you those devices are a POS! You secretly want a BlackBerry so bad, you cream your pants at the thought of it. BlackBerry is growing. You know it. I know it. But you can't go back on the BS and crap you've said about BlackBerry because then EVERYONE will know you to be the fool that I already KNOW YOU ARE.
