So pathetic that you have actual emotional hatred toward a company.

Seeing the increase in phone size and the comfort zone of 7-8" for tablets, I have a feeling that tablets and phones will meet at 7".
Phones on 2016 like the Galaxy S 6 would probably be 7" 1080p HD with Phone Capabilities and (5)G - as well as the lessening of bezels for it to be pocketable.
Although I can say right now that I want a 6-7" phablet.

Then you are in luck. GN III will probably sport a 6 inch screen. Because they've just launched Galaxy player which sports 5.8 inch screen. They will likely minimize the bezel of that device and make it a 6 inch phone cum tablet!!

the galaxy note 2 really is a beast. i expect the successors to be great too!
but, seeing how phones like those get many variants, updates may get a little slow for me... so I'm hoping for a phablet Nexus. I'm really in love with the Nexus line. Even up to present, I can still consider the Nexus S.

Am i the only one HATING these HUGE monster sized phones?
19. bucky (Posts: 1627; Member since: 30 Sep 2009)
Yea they're getting too big. Tried the international sgs3 and it was nice but just too big to use as a work phone. Couldn't help but feel silly holding it.

I do use the phone for browsing. But I would like to hold the device comfortably first.

Just can"t believe how mobile an smartphones have changed, from the Nokia 3310 with just 1" screens an now the Galaxy Note with 5.5" screens, but the Large screens are such are so much better for Viewing Images an Watching Videos, this is one reason why Blackberry are switching to Large Screen Smartphones to compete more

.i think the average is 4,3 inches and should stay at that after that is too big for mee
14. Peter27 (Posts: 233; Member since: 13 Jul 2012)
that is why I can't wait for phones that will fold in half just like Sony tablet P I think it is or something like that.
so it will still be small for pocket but once you use it you will be able to open it and have a big screen.
anyway I am really looking forward to google glasses, that will be the end of the smartphones.

This is why I have two phones, anything bigger than 4.3 doesn't allow me to use it with one hand...
16. No_Nonsense (Posts: 826; Member since: 17 Aug 2012)
For what do you need to use your phone with one hand except calls? Just curious.
18. Lawliet (Posts: 160; Member since: 02 Jul 2012)
Many reasons, like when my other hand is holding something,

They give the average display size for all phones. I wonder what the average display size is for just smartphones.
26. pliskin1 (Posts: 59; Member since: 17 Oct 2012)
Anything over 4" or 4.3" depending on the bezel is just too much. If I wanted to carry a tablet around I would, but I want something that fits in my pocket comfortably, and most smartphones don't fit that bill...besides, a bigger screen is only that much more prone to breaking. Maybe something like the Sony Tablet P could fulfill the big screen/small size issue.

It's quite revealing to watch the recent surge in 'Chinese 6 inch smartphones'. Just try selecting that quote and right click the result ! ...
This 6 inch market is amazing.
It promises the rise in the 'pocketable' smartphone marketplace - and even the demise of the Apple product line as it is today.
Even Steve Jobs would have liked it ! ... 'Pocketable' is the key word.
Just right for the inside pocket of the male or female jacket ... Wonderful for the average shirt pocket ... Terrific for a shoulder-worn man-bag or a ladies 'clutch bag.
And ...as for price-performance ... just look at the 6 inch devices that are appearing on eBay and Amazon as I speak !!
As soon as one of the larger networks adopts these devices and/or some of the more 'grown up' Chinese manufacturers catch on - especially if 'ol Sammy and HUAWEI - both of whom are rumoured to be about to launch 6 inch devices - pull their fingers out! ... just watch the movement down to sensible prices.
My 6 inch 'monster' - which everyone who sees it cannot wait to get their hands on - cost me only £140 and was delivered in 3 days to my home in the UK from mainland China.
It is a delight to use ... and what I cannot do on it that might be done by any Samsung or Hitachi or LG or NOKIA device - I'm prepared to overlook.
C';mon people ... a 6 inch, POCKETABLE 'monster', WHICH CAN BE USED AS EASILY AS CAN A SMALL LAPTOP ... delivered to your door for under £150 is just TOO GOOD TO MISS !
Join in ... I dare you !
