Asus’ global head of handheld divisions, Benson Lin, recently made it clear in an interview that they will go forward with a Windows Phone device of some sort when the time is right. Specifically, he mentions, “We are very close with Microsoft. When we think it is the right time"...

yeah i think thats true as htc is waiting for apolo as well i cant wait to grabe me one. Last time i checked its not lauching till dec though

This means it'll be a long long time before asus bring out a windows phone and only fair on them as they are now growing exponentially as a phone/tablet manufacturer and certainly don't need poor sales in their divisions due to windows

I'll be an Asus Windows 8 the second it is announced. I want that keyboard dock plus full HD+ and a quad under the hood... My mouth is drooling just thinking about it!
