Asus chairman Johnny Shih told the AsiaD conference in Hong Kong that the next-gen version of the popular Asus Transformer tablet would be introduced November 9th with a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset and a thin 8.3mm design...

Awesome! Quad-core and ICS, very sleek and thin design as well, looks great.

with all the super coolness of ICS features and a quad core.. that is pure win.
ICS kills the much need for the "pad phone" concept they had though... since you can just bump your phone together with your tablet and have them share whatever your doing. Of course the whole "slide the phone inside the tablet and make it an instant big screen" point is still pretty cool though.

the 'padphone' concept is cool, because most of the expensive hardware would only need to be in one device. the 'pad' part would really just be a touchscreen.
not sure how much that would save and if it would be worth all the effort it takes to develop it.

this is looking awesome. Asus arguably did the best honeycomb tablet so far, and this looks like it will continue the trend unless Samsung, Motorola, etc. wows up with their new offerings.
