Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 gets minor update

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity has received an update, but the OS build remains at 4.1.1 which still puts it ahead of many Android tablets; this is only a minor update designed to address issues with Wi-Fi, the QWERTY keyboard and the camera...

This is one reason why I love Asus, they actually support their products, and are usually quick about it too.

They also don't have to worry about carrier bloatware or carrier testing. I can guarantee if Asus made a phone for Verizon, it would see months of delays before being "permitted" to send out an update. But the fact that Asus runs stock Android helps tremendously as well. Kudos.

And that's one thing I hate about Android as a cell phone. Between device manufacturers and service providers, you rarely see an update on your phone. But part of me thinks they do that on purpose, to make you buy their next device, just for the updated software.

I could care less about getting 4.1.2 for my TF700T. I hope they give us 4.2 :)
