Coming to market later this year as the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity 700 series, the tablet with HD display we first saw at CES last month now adds one more key option - a version with 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 and 4G LTE connectivity...

Stop making dual cores. Use quad cores.

Tegra 3 is not built for LTE (yet). The dual-core S4 is very fast and LTE runs beautifully on it.

and LTE in its current form is only available on carriers that love restrictive data caps and doesnt have adequate coverage. Let's focus on better hardware (which is useful for everyone) over faster data speesd (Which is only useful for some) and stop buying into this 4G hype, which is so far just hype.

While I completely agree with you all the way, when it comes to focusing on hardware (which everyone benefits from), than so much on radio bands (which service you can get is a toss in the air, based on your location). I'd much rather have top hardware, than say LTE.

But, as Sorcio46 stated, despite only being a dual core, this particular Snapdragon and the Tegra 3, have negligable differences in performance.

On top of that, I do not really think that most of these applications are programmed to take full advantage of 4 cores, much less 2. But... If you build it... they will come.

Snapdragon dual core krait is better than quad core tegra 3. Check out its benchmarks

the S4 has been proven to be faster than the tegra 3, the only thing that is A BIT better on the T3 is the GPU, everything else, the S4 is better

guys relax, the WiFi version will come with 1.6Ghz Tegra 3 and while LTE will have 1.5 Snapdragon S4

Nokia 808 with 41 mp camera it is look like 14 mp. Full size camera with 50 mp cost $35,000.

Clearly, you didn't read how Nokia 808 works. Btw, what does the phone have to do with this article? GTFO!

Why are tablets so much more advanced than twice more expensive ultrabooks in terms of screen??

10. c.hack posted on 28 Feb 2012, 14:34

- ARM CPUs are cheap compared to x86 ULVs (and much much less powerful)
- keyboard and touchpad
- $50 to $100 to MS for Windows
- RAM plus SSD
- $500 markup for the name "ultrabook". You can get a perfectly good laptop for $400 that is just as fast but bulkier.

BTW, for $900 I just got a quad core laptop with very fast ATI graphics, blu-ray drive, 1080P, and 8GB. Ultrabook are ultra overpriced.

btw which laptop did you get ?

Unless you're a total droidgeek, they all look the same.

Is this really that much of an improvement over the Prime?

13. Hallucinator posted on 28 Feb 2012, 15:51 1

If the Ipad 3 has the same specs, the Fandroids will rip it apart, yet it is ok for Asus.

19. gavination1322 posted on 04 Mar 2012, 20:45

That's funny, because the reason Fandroids rip apart every Apple product is because of loss of freedom to modify, the lack of universally used attachments, like an HDMI outlet, and its sheer "I have an iPad" elitism. So my response to that is that Apple could never bring themselves to make someting like this.

Can anyone tell me when the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity 700 will be launched in Canada (Vancouver area to be specific). I have the Asus TFPrime (Eee Pad) but would like to upgrade to Transformer Pad Infinity 700 that is being launched in Italy in early June 2012. Fortunately my IT friend offered to purchase the Eee Pad at a decent price enabling me to purchase the Infinity 700 model.

How thick is the tab and dock together?
