Hell yeah, the very minute this hits the stores I will purchase it immediately. This is going to be a quad-core tablet who will rule once Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with its multi-core optimization graces the quad-core of the Asus Transformer Prime. Just thinking about it makes me get amped up! lol

Wait what do the carrier labels mean? Does this mean that it will be only on certain wireless carriers or will it be like the original asus where anyone could buy it

Okay, I'm getting the Nexus when Verizon finally decides to launch it. ...but, do I get the Transformer or Playstation Vita???

Dude you need to get both. The Asus Transformer Prime does things that the PlayStation Vita can't do, & the PlayStation Vita can do things the Asus Transformer Prime can't do. They are clearly not the same thing. You need to get both. It's a sad truth!

Thanks for the response. I've been looking for some good spec/feature pieces on the Vita but I've only got bits and pieces. Sounds like you're in the know. Can you post a link or two that would convince me to buy them both?
I'm thinking with all that the Transformer Prime can do, especially when you consider emulators... do I still really need the Vita? You tell me, I'd love to buy them both, but don't really know if I need two portables in addition to the Galaxy Nexus.

They are both essential depending on your life style.
First the PlayStation Vita:
If you want the best in mobile gaming the PlayStation Vita is it. They are talking about near PlayStation 3 graphics & game play. The games you could play on the Vita could never be matched on a tablet. The controller on the Vita is what is going to distinguish it from the silly controlling & very linear mobile games found on phones/tablets. I don't know if you have ever played Uncharted on the PS3 but there is an Uncharted game coming to the Vita & that will be light years ahead of ANYTHING on a tablet. For REAL console quality gaming the PlayStation Vita is it HANDS DOWN.
Second the Asus Transformer Prime:
First of this is a quad-core tablet, so when Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich lands on the Prime look out. Android 4.0 is made for multi-core processors so expect an extremely smooth & very intuitive OS with excellent multi tasking. Also if you browse the web, the Prime with Flash will be an absolute joy. Also if you like movies on the go, the 10" screen on the Prime will be a better option than the Vita. All the countless apps that are going to come out, that are optimized for Android 4.0 & will work like a dream on the Prime. Also the new Google music store that they are going to release will be very robust & will be sweet on both phones & tablets. Also not to mention productivity. You can be more productive with a tablet as opposed to the Vita. So if you like to surf, read, watch, use apps & be productive then a tablet is the way to go.
I didn't list specs but that is easy to find with some Google searches. I hope this helps.
Me personally I am not into mobile gaming that much, I stick with my Xbox360 & my PS3 for gaming. I have an INSANE 7.1 sound system that shakes my house that I use for my gaming. So to me the Asus Transformer Prime is more important. Now if I was on the move 24/7 then I would most definitely get the Prime & the PlayStation Vita. :-)
