Although the Asus PadFone hit the shelves not too long ago, its maker may already have a working prototype of a follow-up to its smartphone/tablet hybrid. Just recently, a device identified as an Asus PadFone 2 was benchmarked using AnTuTu setting an impressive score of 13,950 points. In comparison, that is about 450 more than what a Samsung Galaxy Note II is said to be capable of reaching...

This concept has much potential but they need to support it properly. If customers buy the tablet and the phone, what else do they get? They need the software support, major backend additions that integrate each device with each other on a much deeper level than any other product. This will make it appeal to a much widely audience.

Love the padfone, hate the bulkiness and screens for both of them though :\ I think the concept will be much better off in a few years time when they actually integrate quite nicely.

wow, already a followup?? I really love to see a thinner, cooler padfone for sure.

Definitely a lot of room to refine the original padfone. 720P display would be nice at least. Larger battery too. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open.

both phone and tablet dock need to be updated regarding the screen, thinness, software AND network frequencies (add 3G+ for 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz)
Snapdragon quad Pro would be awesome.
Better camera... probably just leaving Android Camera software untouched.
I hope they don't give up on this concept... This is the future of our phones and they are bringing it closer.
Windows 8 seems pretty good, but prices will keep it on a different category, specially comparing mobile app prices with full PC program prices

Poor Padfone. Too little, much too late. Padfone 1 is revolutionary if its on the market two years ago. Its still not generally available yet. By time Padfone 2 reaches the market it'll likely be too late also
