Asus PadFone concept tablet/smartphone combo gets official press shots and an announcement

The Asus PadFone is still in the concept stage, and screen sizes haven't been finalized, but for the demonstration Asus used a 4.3" Android smartphone that goes into an empty shell with 10.1" screen to make a tablet...

Wow i really like asuses direction. Hoping the android tablit version can catch up. Really like it but its a little laggie and a lot of the cool apps are going to apple first such as netflixx. Well netflix is coming soon to most but apps like that. I just got an ipad 2 and love it but i am really waiting for android to get better and i will get one. Also keeping an ey on palm or i meen hp i think they are starting to look good.

yeah this looks like foreign quality commercial, and now electronics are selling sex like car and other commercials now.

personally i like the Compufon Concept's design a little better but this Padfone is still quite interesting. i would probably buy it if it became available on Verizon.

Nice. Very, very nice. But phone could be smaller e.g. 3.7". If you need more, there is a slot for tablet and you have 10.1".

Let's wait on answer from HTC.
