The new PadFone Infinity Lite is a step down from last year's PadFone Infinity 2. Asus announced the device in its home country (Taiwan), without saying if it would launch it in other markets...

Despite the fact that its similar to padfone 2, I think Asus finally priced the padfone right.

Is this not the Asus Infinity that was released before infinity 2 some time ago?

Seems like it... basically they are re-branding the original PadFone Infinity as "Lite".... hopefully this version keeps the microSD slot like the Infinity 2

I doubt it, this seems to be a straight up re-release of the orginical A80 padfone infinity (I have that one). This also coincides with their promise to update the A80 to KitKat in Q1, which would probably time it with the US release. Also, I bet the tablet is 1920x1200, which is the spec of the tablet dock I got with it.

I really find this concept innovative and practical, I just don't understand why aren't more OEMs doing this.
