Asus PadFone 2 specs leak - Snapdragon S4 Pro, 4.7-inch HD screen, 13MP camera

0. phoneArena posted on 21 Sep 2012, 06:10

Only hours since we learned that the Asus PadFone 2 will be announced on October 16, the device's specifications have already been leaked on the internet. Spotted on a Chinese forum thread was a photo of what is said to be the retail box of the smartphone/tablet hybrid, designated with the A68 model name. Note that the device itself isn't visible, yet since the first PadFone was known internally as the A66, then what we are looking at might indeed be the list of PadFone 2 specifications...

Based on the previous Padfone, it still within a "reasonable" price considering the end users get a hybrid of smartphone and tablet. I hope there is something better - a lapdock or whatever it is called. Did Motorola patented the lapdock? Both are the way of the future. Both are my dreams. And this is my ultimate geeky dream -http://www.indiegogo.com/nexphone

Man all of these monster phones coming out seem to make the Razr HD less significant. Optimus G, HTC 5" monster, Galaxay note 2, Lumia 920.

Yeah...i really thought this would happen. The razr looks nice but I really wondered from the get go why the razr wasnt packing a stronger processor. The specs are more comparable to the the spring/summer models. (one x, s3, atrix hd)

Who knows, maybe Google is being a little to modest on the hardware front to make it not seem like they are picking favorites...... I don't know.

i know, it's a shame. it still might be worth it for the build quality and the battery life for some people though.

Fake! Amoled in specs and Super IPS on the picture. Ha-ha :)

I think it could be a fake, mistake or whatever... but

It could also mean, Super IPS on the Tablet dock and Amoled on the Phone.

It is fake or they just made a mistake on the box.

This is some serious awesomeness.
Put a full hd on the tablet screen and keep all under 900$ and you'll make the greatest thing ever, Asus.

13. d_eagle posted on 21 Sep 2012, 08:16

It's a fake... SuperAMOLED IPS+ HD :) Anyway it also lacks NFC...

I've had the original for 2+ months and I love the concept. Just hoping Asus will keep a sub 4.5" version in their PadFone catalogue. IMHO Asus is at the moment #1 manufacturer of high end Android devices in all categories.
