Are you getting the new iPad? (Poll results)

It is the market that will ultimately decide whether the new iPad will make a sales splash, regardless of all the novelties crammed in it, so we asked you last week whether you plan to get the third edition of the world's most popular tablet...

wow, i guess we're all pretty much about Android here. xD

Get over it. I also checked "nope" but Its not about Android. Its that the Ipad 2 is almost on par with the Ipad 3 in terms of specs design etc. and a lot of people are not going to upgrade for those slightly newer features. I for one.
My screen reso works for me. Its bright sharp and looks great. Would the higher Reso be better? Yes but not a necessity.
I hardly use my camera. So the upgrade of mp's is not important to me.
and the slightly faster speed, also not a game changer when the iPad 2 is quite fast and serves my needs right now.
Do yourself a favor and pick up an iPad 2 at the discounted price, you'll be a lot happier than with the android tablet. I know I was.

heck no i wouldnt. I already have a phone + large phone tablet.. why would i want a 2nd large phone tablet that does a heck of a lot less than either of my first 2 items. Pick yourself up a windows 8 tablet or an ICS tablet and u will be even happier.

Exactly, with ICS, I got better features like face unlocked and panorama mode...and at least my tablet has a freaking flash for the camera

a lot of people don't have iPad 2s. :P
it seems very likely to me that it's MOSTLY about the other compelling Android offerings we were presented with from MWC and such very recently.

They forgot to include a 'never' option in the survey :p

I don't think it's that we are all about android, just the the tech world is starting to see the gradual incline of apple's hardware and don't feel the need to spend the money unlike the common consumer who just has to have that new flashy device. Now don't go spinning my words calling this thing trash or anything. But bumping up the screen isn't enough to sell it for me. And yes the processor bump and graphics bump don't count becuase without them this thing wouldn't be able to power the display. Not to mention the fact that it is thicker and heavier, but with the same battery life.

you MAY have a point but i'm actually pretty impressed with the new iPad. all Apple really has to do is do something huge for iOS 6 in the near future.

Are these results indicating the masses might be awaking from their apple induced slumber and seeing the light at last?!

Its almost time for an actual new iPhone, not a iPhone 4$, so they will surely be more iMorphine coming

if these poll numbers are any indication of real life, then it better be one heck of a change for the i5 or we might be witnessing the stagnation of iOS.

no just the phonearena community which has a strong android fan base

amazing how 2 years ago it was accused of having a strong apple fan base and android fans were severely outnumbered. The "fanbase" is a correlation to actual OS usage. Android outnumbers apple over 2-1 in the real world, the site is starting to reflect that.

I'm interested to see how the pre-orders going to be for this one. I'm sure they will be good, but c'mon...there's like 300 million Ipad/Ipad 2 already out there. No small feat of course. Camera is good, but they really could have saved the cash and just did a front facing camera, but since everybody else has one...new screen...nice, but not compelling enough for me sell my IPad 2. Movies already look good enough and it's not like I watch it for hours on end at a time. The OS is what needs to biggest overhaul. It's just time for some variety with it. I'm sure Apple will soon do something with it.

HELL no I'm not getting it! I didn't buy an ipod when it first came out years ago, why would I buy one now that they doubled the size of it, jacked up the price, and dubbad it an "ipad"?
I would prefer to throw my $500 directly into the garbage, cut out the middle man and save me a trip to the "genius" bar. I would gladly pay $500 to avoid talking to pretentious hipster douchebag nerds.
