Apple stock has plunged to another low today and the company is no longer the world’s most valuable, falling behind Exxon Mobil. But it is still the most valuable tech company...

wait until the 5s comes out...which is a repeat of 2007 all over again with subtle upgrades over the years...still focusing on the 5 or 6 rows of apps/icons and bragging about a retina display when 1080 p is the norm

Apple is pushing Apple out of relevance. The constant release of just iteration upon iteration has gotten old, not much new has come out of Apple that hasn't already been done or is just yet another iteration of another product.

Tim is a profits guy, while Steve was a visionary. Ive doesn't have what it takes to fill Steve's shoes so I don't expect much excitement from Apple these days.

How do u know ive doesn't have what it takes? This is his first go around in his position

The biggest difference I see between Ive and Jobs is Ive works within a very well defined set of concepts that shape his approach to a product but Jobs worked completely out of the box. I don't believe Ive has the vision Steve did.

If you look at everything Ive designed for Apple, a lot of it was from Braun's previous works that were polished and re-branded by Ive. While I'd like to see something completely new coming out of the Apple design team, I know better to get excited about expecting it to actually happen.

Ive never came up with anything special on his own. He is a blatant plagiarist, mostly of Dieter Rams.

I don't think his willingness is ever in question, I feel he's a perfectionist that wants to do the best possible with whatever he's been given, IMO.

Whether he can create something new remains to be seen. Apple needs new, not rehashed old. Check out this link and read principles 5, 6, and 9. Says a wealth about why Apple keeps doing the same things over and over. http://www.innovationexcellence.com/blog/2012/04/30/10-success-principles-of-apples-innovation-master-jonathan-ive/ All in all, they are really great points. Only problem I see is Steve constantly pushed Ive to do better. Who is pushing him now?

Apple just need to release something new. Until then, they won't be able to regain investors confidence

Exactly. You hit the nail on the head with that comment. Investor interest will skyrocket when apple freshens up their lineup. Rite now they see no reason to dump money into a stale lineup of great products. It's like any company that's put out great stuff but nothing new like maytag, or GE. If apple delivers, stocks will rise. Rite now they're like I'm cashing out, soon they'll reinvest.

Do you mean yet another ho-hum iteration of the same overpriced junk, or something actually NEW, which they haven't done since the 90's?

This is a bit dramatic.
Apple still has millions of faithful that will buy any and everything they put out.

I think other companies have caught up, and apple has been lazy. Resting on its laurels, while others have been in the lab hard at work. Are we witnessing apples fall...I doubt fall, but definitely a knockdown. Question is, can apple get up before the 10 count.

Yep. Even though HTC is suffering from a financial crisis right now, in terms of hardware and software (except camera quality IMO), they're ahead of Apple. Samsung surpassed Apple last year with the Galaxy S3. LG finally produced a phone worthy to battle against the iPhone (LG Optimus G). If Apple does a total flip on the OS and ends up being great, I'll definitely consider getting an iPhone. But for now, I don't see me downgrading (feature wise) right now.

I hope this is the fall. This company is a cancer. Сrаpple is a form of thinking, the very wrong form of thinking. "Expensive things makes you a better human being!" Putting yourself higher than any other man, distinguish yourself from others by showing and saying that you can effort an apple product, is the first sign of mentally ill, Hitler like person.

Expensive things is ok, but neither of apple toys deserve it to be expensive.

Paying for the mp3? Ridiculous utopia. That is not the future. Internet and freedom is.

Totally uncomfortable keyboard and mouse-like piece of s**t for one finger orangutan, no, that is the past.

Apples Mp3 players suck, they don't have no decent Equlizer thst you can hear the music with clairty mids and deep bass, even Sony Mp3 and others are way much better™

Its just has an Apple logo and people buy it thinking it's the very best, where's it totally sucks®

No, Apple's stock was always built off of excitement and perceived value (largely built on their insane profit margins) Apple will not go away, the iPhone would have to just completely choke BLackberry style for that to happen and I can't see that happening.

Apple's stock will go up when they release something new, the Apple Watch or whatever. Basically they had a massive artificial inflation with Jobs's passing and Tim Cook not being totally inept. But since they haven't done anything since, they've settled down. With something new, they'll get a boost and stay semi high still. I can't see their stock falling too much further.
