Are we witnessing the fall of Apple?

Apple stock has plunged to another low today and the company is no longer the world’s most valuable, falling behind Exxon Mobil. But it is still the most valuable tech company...

Their next device conference will bring it back to 425 but it will slowly drop down and stabilize ~360. It won't go below 300.

Law of gravity - what goes up must come down. Right now, I think Apple is being hammered by collateral news. Audio chips piling up in inventory at the chip manufacturer, and immediately slow iToy sales get blamed.
Maybe Apple should use some of its pile of $ to do a stock buy-back? Once word of a stock buy-back leaked, I suspect the share price would firm up.

The stock is on its way down, and it better hold 354.00. I posted that Apple would fail based on the 5th Elliot wave 702 top, and that the possible low target was 354.00 which is where it started its major climb. 354.00 is a major support area, and it is the 50 day simple moving average on the monthly. When the monthly chart corrects then maybe it will bounce but only if new awe inspiring products hit the shelves.
Apple didn't go as high as it did because the stock was worth it, it's because it was a trend investors made money on until the music stopped back in October. October is where I posted the E wave prediction BTW.

Apple has so interior products =just iConboards, that must be falling all the time in a time of multi user API, copy file etc..
Apple will just steal Android features like statusbar to save itself a little
Inferiority of iConboards is obvious.....

okay i dont know what their talking about but unfortunately apple has pretty much been the most popular single manufacturer of smartphones in the us because women find them "oh so pretty and i can put my pink bedazzled fuzzy case on it" whereas in the rest of the world the people are smart and choose android over apple.

US citizens are very easily influenced..... They eat everything you serve them..... They even don't care their gov lied them about mass destruction weapons in Iraq so US gov murdered thousands of US soldiers, people are simply stupid.... Wake up! Vote for different parties! Otherwise you don't care you support murders......

Don't vote "different" parties. Don't vote for major parties at all. Screw these idiot psychopath politicians.

Its not always about right choice!! sometimes its the budget!!
in India iPhone is a hole in the pocket and STILL a thing of luxury!! or atleast a device u would love to own!!
primarily coz not all could xperience it!!
i feel Americans have just used apple ova the years and now that they are bored, they wana blame apple for everything...
yeah apple needs to innovate now... but its also wrong on the [art of the people to just scrap apple like this coz they are 'BORED!!'

Even though I don't like Apple, but I'm sad when reading this article. ;(
Stand up, Apple! You need to stand up!
71. XperiaPrince (Posts: 108; Member since: 25 Dec 2012)
xperia droid is right! Apple can stand up.the just need to redesign iOS,bring a hardware that is on par with the highend droid device and add some freedom(you won't need iTunes) and improve pricing.this way apple can stand up

Took long enough. Everyone saw this coming. When the only change you make on your device is a bigger screen and 1 new color, your destined for failure. Wheres the innovation?? Did Apple not learn from BlackBerry's mistake?
11. nirmik379kale (Posts: 6; Member since: 19 Apr 2013)
Innovation at apple was always driven by the excellence of Steve and his taste to natural things in life ... ther's noone so passionate as him anymore @ Apple...
Its now only about numbers!! Earlier it was about pouring in heart! :)

They followed the philosophy if IKEA, "simple design" and it worked at first but the problem is Apple are not making wooden spoons... Phones are Technical devices which need to evolve in form and function to remain attractive in the industry.
Just imagine the same approach to phones 100 years ago... we will still be winding up the old box on the wall to our ears to get enough current to call someone in the next suburb, or tyres, we'll still be rolling on wooden rims.

I've said that same thing multiple times. Apple is walking the Blackberry path of near stagnation. I've never been an Apple fan, but that doesn't mean I want them to fail. They need to be decent to keep choices up and prices lower.
Apple must fight being complacent, b/c if they don't, they will be in big trouble, and so will we as consumers. Having fewer choices is never good......

Whenever Steve Jobs has left the company, it has always fallen to its face!!
Apple was always Steve's company...He poured in his heart and soul to it and it seems that so did the company!! it doesn't want to live without its love! :)
Seems hypothetical, but when u see the efforts and passion he put behind Apple, it all seems to 'Just Work' ;)
14. TROLL (banned) (Posts: 4851; Member since: 13 Apr 2012)
He made no difference to, made the same phone 3times again and over!
Even if he was here, the public and the average joes who are buying and pushing sales have realised, it's nothing special! Look on the bright side!
72. nirmik379kale (Posts: 6; Member since: 19 Apr 2013)
then i guess u dont know about his life and apples... it wasnt the same fone 3 times... untill his death there was something new... siri the last one... it brought revolution in the voice recognition sector...and the way we interact with devices... google glass uses voice commands which somewhere, if not started, was given a huge push by siri... i dont own an iPhone but i have studied every iteration of it!! and they were always amazing!! but i am an android , bb10, jolla and ubuntu lover too!!( Hate Windows)
and its not just about mobiles... look at the pc industry... what did microsoft innovate? s***!! all they could manage to innovate was touch screen laptops or hybrid devices as they say! Apple? well the Macintosh, iMac, MacBook, MacBook Air... the ultrabook thing started with apple! n so did the 'All in one PC', and STILL, keep any ultrabook besides an Air or an All in one PC besides the iMac and see!! they can just never match!!
look at MAC OSX!! B-E-A-U-T-Y!! windows?? hardly any beauty in there man!!
They have always invented! and it started with Steve!! the others followed and tried to compete... only Android succeeded!! others never could!!
If u havent, please watch 'Pirates Of Silicon Vally' to know abput steve!! or any other video on youtube that describes steves influence!!
ThankYou :) ;)
P.S: no hard feelings ;) :P

He copied Sonys keyboard
He copied Sony Z series Laptop
Apple is a show off a trend
Not everyone can afford Z series laptop

Yeah. I think the iP5 is what hurt them the worst. I mean the changes were so minimal from the previous 3.5 inch phone that people that held off decided it was a good time to start saving a tiny bit of money by buying the older phones. At least in the past they had some truly new "marketable" feature to ram down our throats about how great their phones supposedly were. The iP5 had nothing new on it other than a screen size bump. If that's the best you can do then you should expect failure.
PS, I'm not saying apple created siri or the other things that they would release gen of gen, just that they had something to market. Now they don't, and a .5 inch screen change isn't going to make their user base run out and buy the "new" one over that.

I'm afraid that Apple have become a bit complacent and competitors have caught up. I've never had an Apple product so I can't really comment too much on what they need to do.
What I do know is that the OS is looking a bit tired and dated, and this is the one thing that deters me from trying them out. They are also very expensive and it is obvious that consumers are being ripped off from the huge levels of profit Apple make.
Their hardware is good but not good enough to warrant how much more it costs you to have an iPhone than the top competitor phone over a two year contract. From what I've heard their customer service leaves a lot to be desired too. When you pay top dollar you expect top support and customer service.
Also what's it all about...launching a phone with so many known defects straight out of the box. This alone sums up Apples arrogance and disregard for their loyal customers.

For those of you in the UK...how good is that cider advert, taking the pi** out of Apple. Absolute quality!
10. bubbadoes (Posts: 368; Member since: 03 May 2012)
wait until the 5s comes out...which is a repeat of 2007 all over again with subtle upgrades over the years...still focusing on the 5 or 6 rows of apps/icons and bragging about a retina display when 1080 p is the norm

Apple is pushing Apple out of relevance. The constant release of just iteration upon iteration has gotten old, not much new has come out of Apple that hasn't already been done or is just yet another iteration of another product.
Tim is a profits guy, while Steve was a visionary. Ive doesn't have what it takes to fill Steve's shoes so I don't expect much excitement from Apple these days.
21. darkkjedii (Posts: 12703; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
How do u know ive doesn't have what it takes? This is his first go around in his position
27. Aeires (unregistered)
The biggest difference I see between Ive and Jobs is Ive works within a very well defined set of concepts that shape his approach to a product but Jobs worked completely out of the box. I don't believe Ive has the vision Steve did.
If you look at everything Ive designed for Apple, a lot of it was from Braun's previous works that were polished and re-branded by Ive. While I'd like to see something completely new coming out of the Apple design team, I know better to get excited about expecting it to actually happen.

I don't think his willingness is ever in question, I feel he's a perfectionist that wants to do the best possible with whatever he's been given, IMO.
Whether he can create something new remains to be seen. Apple needs new, not rehashed old. Check out this link and read principles 5, 6, and 9. Says a wealth about why Apple keeps doing the same things over and over. http://www.innovationexcellenc
e.com/blog/2012/04/30/10-success-principles-of-apples-innovation-master-jonathan-ive/All in all, they are really great points. Only problem I see is Steve constantly pushed Ive to do better. Who is pushing him now?
33. -box- (Posts: 3881; Member since: 04 Jan 2012)
Ive never came up with anything special on his own. He is a blatant plagiarist, mostly of Dieter Rams.
15. amats69 (Posts: 1131; Member since: 12 Nov 2012)
its time to innovate your products apple! or else youre out on this competition! Goodluck
16. Meleagru (Posts: 84; Member since: 03 Dec 2012)
Apple just need to release something new. Until then, they won't be able to regain investors confidence
20. darkkjedii (Posts: 12703; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Exactly. You hit the nail on the head with that comment. Investor interest will skyrocket when apple freshens up their lineup. Rite now they see no reason to dump money into a stale lineup of great products. It's like any company that's put out great stuff but nothing new like maytag, or GE. If apple delivers, stocks will rise. Rite now they're like I'm cashing out, soon they'll reinvest.
34. -box- (Posts: 3881; Member since: 04 Jan 2012)
Do you mean yet another ho-hum iteration of the same overpriced junk, or something actually NEW, which they haven't done since the 90's?
42. darkkjedii (Posts: 12703; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Dude talk to me as a techie, not a basher
17. _PHug_ (Posts: 397; Member since: 11 Oct 2011)
This is a bit dramatic.
Apple still has millions of faithful that will buy any and everything they put out.
18. darkkjedii (Posts: 12703; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
I think other companies have caught up, and apple has been lazy. Resting on its laurels, while others have been in the lab hard at work. Are we witnessing apples fall...I doubt fall, but definitely a knockdown. Question is, can apple get up before the 10 count.
23. PapaSmurf (Posts: 8924; Member since: 14 May 2012)
Yep. Even though HTC is suffering from a financial crisis right now, in terms of hardware and software (except camera quality IMO), they're ahead of Apple. Samsung surpassed Apple last year with the Galaxy S3. LG finally produced a phone worthy to battle against the iPhone (LG Optimus G). If Apple does a total flip on the OS and ends up being great, I'll definitely consider getting an iPhone. But for now, I don't see me downgrading (feature wise) right now.
24. neurobiologist (Posts: 85; Member since: 07 Nov 2012)
I hope this is the fall. This company is a cancer. Сrаpple is a form of thinking, the very wrong form of thinking. "Expensive things makes you a better human being!" Putting yourself higher than any other man, distinguish yourself from others by showing and saying that you can effort an apple product, is the first sign of mentally ill, Hitler like person.
Expensive things is ok, but neither of apple toys deserve it to be expensive.
Paying for the mp3? Ridiculous utopia. That is not the future. Internet and freedom is.
Totally uncomfortable keyboard and mouse-like piece of s**t for one finger orangutan, no, that is the past.

Apples Mp3 players suck, they don't have no decent Equlizer thst you can hear the music with clairty mids and deep bass, even Sony Mp3 and others are way much better™
Its just has an Apple logo and people buy it thinking it's the very best, where's it totally sucks®

Who shall be responsible for the downfall of apple?
29. bossmt_2 (Posts: 437; Member since: 13 Oct 2009)
No, Apple's stock was always built off of excitement and perceived value (largely built on their insane profit margins) Apple will not go away, the iPhone would have to just completely choke BLackberry style for that to happen and I can't see that happening.
Apple's stock will go up when they release something new, the Apple Watch or whatever. Basically they had a massive artificial inflation with Jobs's passing and Tim Cook not being totally inept. But since they haven't done anything since, they've settled down. With something new, they'll get a boost and stay semi high still. I can't see their stock falling too much further.
30. gmracer1 (Posts: 646; Member since: 28 Dec 2012)
Yes, we are witnessing the fall...and I'm enjoying every single second of it :-)
