The 97 has the iPad 3/4 screen, expandable (to 64gb) memory, OTG capability (plug in a USB device with a micro adapter). Buy a 64gb micro SD card for $65, and you've got 72gb for half the cost of a 32gb iPad 4. Plus it's a a fraction of an inch smaller in width and length, a couple hairs thinner, and a few feathers lighter.

Sounds like a winner to me. So long as the processor and memory are enough to crank out that crazy resolution. I was planning on getting a Nexus 7 with my tax refund, but the Archos 97 (and the Note 7, and potential others) are looking even better.

They also have some really classy keyboards that double as a screen protector clam shell. Archos has really stepped up their game, if the initial reviews are favorable with the 9.7" model, I'll be buying it to replace my OG Transformer.

I looked at their website last night and it says they have 1 gig of RAM but I saw a video from CES where the Archos rep said it was going to ship in March with 2 gigs of RAM.

Yes i saw the video also , they said it had Quad Core Processor & 8 core graphics processor with 2 GB Ram ( may B he was mistaken , who knows ? )...WE'll see when it Shows Up..i am waiting for it ...it looks Sexy !!
