but the cheap pricing for the 8 inch one... honeycomb, dual core, cameras? it already sounds better than the wifi galaxy tab, 7inch one, and seems to be better than the galaxy tab 10 on cpu side

That's a damn good deal. $350 for more features than most honeycomb tablets. These major manufacturers could learn something from the small guys. The transformer is testament to this.

I don't care if it's a little thicker than the Xoom, Galaxy Tab, or Ipad. For half the freaking price I will take a damn brick tab.

From the pricing, one might suspect that they've finally caught on that almost all of these are another, less necessary device than either a desktop/laptop or a phone, and will seldom be an only device. The lower pricing means more people will buy them.

I've got an iPad 1 that I bought from someone who was just dying to buy v2. I'd buy the smaller version of this for the greater ease of shlepping it around. And I've also got 2 desktops,2 laptops and 2 netbooks in the family stable at home. Few of the tablets are necessary, though fun and convenient.

Looks like the G9s sold in the EU will have the option of a 3G dongle, which slides out from the back and can then be used for your laptop or desktop. I wonder if the US will have 3G(4G?)-ready G9s, and if so, which carriers will support it.

I would love to see a similar model that is 12" and will replace my hefty laptop. How hard could it be to stuff even more goodies into a 12" chassis and make it as thin as the Tab 10.1v or thinner like the tab 10.1?
