Apple's Lightning enabled EarPods star in new video?

A couple of days ago, we showed you the video of an adapter that converts an earphone with a 3.5mm male plug into one with a Lightning connector. The source of the video claimed that this part came directly from iPhone assembler Foxconn, and would be placed inside the box of every new Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus sold. As you probably know by now, those two new iPhone models are expected to be produced without a 3.5mm earphone jack. This would allow Apple to make the new iPhone thinner and open up some internal real estate for a larger battery.

A new video that surfaced today calls into question the legitimacy of last week's clip. Instead of showing an adapter, today's video shows a pair of Apple's EarPods with a Lightning connector already attached at the end of the cable. We are also shown the remote/microphone controls on the EarPods which allow the user to raise or lower the volume from the cable, and to play and pause media content. A microphone allows the wearer to engage in a phone conversation while wearing the EarPods.

Last month, some still photographs of this accessory were discovered on China's Weibo site. Today, we have the same product on video. So the question is whether Apple will provide iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus buyers with a 3.5mm to Lighting adapter, or a new pair of EarPods with a Lightning connector already attached. At this point, we would expect the latter to be the answer.
