1 example, on tv you cant say f***k or see boobs, but you will see people get shot and die....those kind of stuff makes them stupid. They have stupid rules and laws.
And real Americans are the native ones, all other americans are import.

Well, Native Americans are actually imports from Eurasia. In turn, human beings are imports from lower species of the animal kingdom, who are imports from even lower species of life. The real Americans are the descendents of the first bacteria to form in America (or what constituted America all those billions of years ago). Or I guess that's a fairly strict definition.

The commonly accepted definition of what it means to be a "real American" is someone who was born or naturalized into America. So, even though I have 0% Native American blood, I'm a real American. And, just as I have 25% Norweigian, 25% Swedish, 12.5% German, 12.5% Irish, 12.5% Scottish, and 12.5% Luxembourg blood (or something along those lines) I'm certainly not a citizen of all or even any of those places.

Also, it's technically illegal to shoot an kill people in the US, so don't imply that it isn't.

iphone is a great mobile, it is not the best mobile but it is great and it is simple and that is why people buy it. Ofcourse for me it unusable, the OS is quite difficult in comparison to Android, but many people like it. Those people who buy an iphone know that it is a closed OS, you can not change much but the people do not care. They just want a mobile that simply works. Those people who say that iphone is a really sucky mobile have issues because it is great, not best but great.

This is only for the 12 week period not the whole year. This can be misleading. Making people think that this is for the whole year. With the ip5 launch its going to have a nice size chunk of the pie for that 3 month period. That's it. I will like to add people that use Iphones use the phone forn text , social networks , music and internet. That's it. So they happy with it.
When you want to do more then that. Email , calender , switch batteries on the go , expand memory , etc etc. People use Android. I love Android I always try to show apple fans why Android is better but some of them think that Apple is just coo. Lol. Oh well.

All i think of when i see these charts is how a while back nintendo and sony ps ruled the console world, now look at the situation, there is a huge X on top of them all. Microsoft has a way of being disliked and ruling markets. lets just see what happens....

Reading this, it looks like this is just sales for that quarter, though they don't make it clear. Either way, impressive achievement. Kudos to Apple.

Many Americans don't use smartphones as tools, they use them as a fashion accessory.

Yeah that's why the $300 RAZR Maxx outsold the $200 iPhone 4S on Verizon for a month or so.

Nop in Mexico iPhone 5 costs 11,000 pesos equivalent to bout 830 US dollars some android phones cost up to 14,000 pesos which is bout 1,000 US dollars I know cuz I would see the prices at the TELCEL store . Like the razr maxx which is LTE capable is 13,850 pesos while the iPhone 5 is 11,000 and is not LTE capable in Mexico it only works on telcels 3G , while phones like the razr maxx, galaxy s3 ,xperia ion all run on telcels brand new LTE network but are more expensive an from what i read in consumer reports Mexico when I was in Mexico city two weeks ago most people prefer android phones even there more expensive cuz they can personalize more there phones and are the only LTE phones in Mexico while the iPhone 5 dnt get LTE in Mexico sure it does in.the US but not in Mexico and people prefer fast speeds that's what the survey said that's why they more people chose android ,, blackberry wasn't even in that survey haha .

You also realize some Android phones dont start out cheaper. They get cheaper as time goes by. Phones that are pre ordered? Sales within the first weeks, month?

Cheaper doesnt come into play until later.

It's simply because a lot of Americans have more money than brains. That my friends, is never going to change. People who REALLY value their money spend it much more wisely.

This stat is only showing a 12 week period ending November 25th, you know, when iPhone 5 sales are high. I think people can relax.

Ah....you beat me to it. This is only for a specific period. Overall Android still has the lead in market share.

For Android fans, its no big deal
For Apple fans, congrats for an increase in a 12 week period from last year.

How can it be big when GS III out ranks the iPhone 4? Now it needs to out rank the iPhone 5

Okay the first comment set off a firestorm of US vs The World comments. Zzzzz

I rather focus on something else. The skyscraper in the above photo *was* the north tower of the World Trade Center. I was there that day. I can confirm it's no longer standing.

Be use a different file photo next time.

It's still a great photo showing the Brooklyn Bridge and a former icon in the NYC skyline.

People like the iPhone because it's trendy and a bit simpler to use but more restricting. People are used to syncing their iPods for several years now so it becomes familiar for most people using the iPhone.

That said, this is mostly due to iTunes and how people here think of it differently than those overseas as there's a difference in how media files are treated. Android isn't even that far behind in the US anyway.

android has been losing market share in the US for the last 18 months and no amount of wishful thinking or excuses from fanboys can change this. 2013 will see Microsoft, RIM, and Apple encroach even further

You might be right. What comes up must come down. RIM, MS, Apple know this from recent experience.

As long as Android is still around, I wouldnt care if it got passed by the iPhone or WP. BUT....Android losing market share....its still a big gap between them and Apple.

The American is to loyal to their own product. Previously before Apple, they only know Blackberry and Motorolla than other product.
