Apple's iPad Mini to be assembled in Brazil by Foxconn, might be as slender as an iPod touch

The height is said to be about the same as the Google Nexus 7, and the width slightly more, to allow for the 4:3 aspect ratio of the larger display. However, the source, who allegedly handled the prototype, says it is incredibly thin, in line with what the iPod touch line is offering now. Given that the iPod touch is 0.28" (7mm) slender, the iPad Mini should be a sight to behold, as even the thinnest tablet out there - the Toshiba Excite 10 LE - is 0.3", but let's wait and see what Apple will actually announce later on this year...

anyways will see fanboy's go say how amazing and easy to carry this tablet is after back slashing 7" android tablets as useless and with a horrible size

Not to mention that a 7" tablet with a 16:9 aspect ratio is one thing. At least you make use of the whole screen when watching videos. So now you have a small screen, plus black bars around your movies because of a 4:3 aspect ratio.
It's a tough argument to make that, if Android 7" tablets are useless, that the speculated iPad mini is not useless, but I'm sure fanboys will attempt it.

I'm ok with apple making a 7" device with a nice price point but many "analysts" and fans have deemed them to be useless doing compassion between kindle and galaxy tab (2.3 phone OS) as if it where the tablet optimized version of the OS, just because a certain Jobs got the brilliant idea 7" was a bad size
