Apple announced iOS 4.3 today, with a focus on improved JavaScript rendering, iTunes Home Sharing to stream media from your computer to your iDevice, AirPlay improvements, and a bunch of other goodies...

But seriously, if iOS 4.3 truly supports tethering the iPad 2 with the iPhone 4 (on GSM-only; is this a stick to VZW, or what) with no added up-charge by AT&T (which I HIGHLY doubt, but I would love to be proved wrong), this could be a killer application. It might also keep a bunch of AT&T iPhone customers from jumping ship to VZW (especially those with unlimited data plans on their iPhone 4).

Did you not read the part where it says that the VZW iPhone already has this feature? I have the VZW iPhone and it came with the hotspot feature when I bought it. The only thing that VZW iPhone users will be missing is the update to airplay and iTunes home sharing.

Not really ipad 2 more like ipad 1.2 or ipad 1.5 at most. Apple loves applying minimal changes each year and charging top buck for the 'new' model and no doubt this will work again
