Those sporting an Apple iPhone orApple iPad while shopping at any of the 254 brick and mortar Apple Stores, should start receiving notifications today on their handset as they shop. Which notifications will be sent to each device will depend on where in the store the shopper is standing. Last month, we told you all about Apple's plan to use iBeacon to enhance the shopping experience at its stores...

This is not an Apple thing its a corporate thing. Soon you'll see many more companies doing this. I think Macy's is already getting involved. Google does the same exact thing, by showing you adds by location, and tracking you with Google Now. Stop being fanboy trolls and realize what the hell is going on around you.

What happens if the Bluetooth is turned off on my iPad will it still receive these messages? I never turn the Bluetooth on because I don't have anything to connect it to.
