ANDROID WILL CATCH UP!!!!!

13. chaoticrazor posted on 07 Jan 2013, 10:00 1

who cares?

these are all irrelevant to the average customer, no one will use that many

what ever the platform the number of apps isnt important its the quality. both should run through and remove all apps that have never been downloaded

but you keep thinking its a war and your part of it you deluded kid

Agree, the average user has maybe less than a 100 apps on their phones. Both markets have quality and quantity covered, it's not really a competition anymore when it comes to the markets.

Even as a wp fanboi i have to say well done apple, they sure know how to get the developers going. And for some reason i get the feeling all their apps are rather beautifull... Well done again...

ok, Android is better

android may have 700K apps, but most of them are lzunchers, themes, live wallpapers, widgets and root related stuff. Let's not forget some apps that are just add-ons like for sony's timescape or smartwatch. What's the biggest selling point of iOS devices is their 3rd party apps ecosystem and quality, especially in gaming where textures and graphics are optimized for the iphone's retina display because developpers only work with one resolution, unlike android in the nexus 10 that has a higher resolution than the ipad, unoptimized graphics look either blown up and blurry and fuzzy or super-tiny and unusable. and let's not talk about tablet apps... i still like android for it's costumization, sharing, notifications and multitasking, but i doubt that it's third party ecosysyem will catch apple's in terms of quality or quantity.

My 7 and 5 years old daughters download gazillion monster high apps from the app store on their ipods.
