Judge Lucky Koh has awarded Apple a preliminary injunction against the Samsung GALAXY Nexus; Apple will have to post a $96 million bond and Samsung will most likely ask for a stay on the order which revolves around four patents Samsung allegedly infringed upon with the handset...

I am actually not a troll but I am not very happy that APPLE is allowed to do what they have been doing - having a patent is one thing but trying to stop a company from selling a product that is better that may have infringed on 4 obscure patents is iffy. Did you read on what patents Apple is suing over? Do you understand what is going on here? You seem so pro-APPLE and you appear to be so far up their arses that you are blinded by your own darkness.

Apple has to litigate. They've been down this road before, in the 80s with Microsoft. They know that they can't keep up with the the pace of development and innovation of an open product with many OEMs working on it. They tried it with Microsoft in the 80s, and had to be bailed out by MS to avoid going out of business. They became a small niche product, and they know that if they simply try to compete, the same thing will happen again - and it scares them silly.

'The four patents in Apple's latest complaint were recently obtained, are based upon specific technical features rather than general software design and are key to the model's touted improvements: spelling auto-correction of touchscreen text entries, screen unlocking by facial recognition and unified search.
In this patent infringement case, which could be ruled upon in a few to several months, Apple is aiming directly at Google's primary rollout vehicle for the Android 4.0 mobile operating system, intending to damage Samsung, its rival Google's most successful and profitable partner.
According to AppleInsider, succeeding in taking a bite out of the Galaxy Nexus feature set could cost Google and Samsung a big chunk of the potential profits to be earned through the Galaxy Nexus and other high-end devices built on the Android platform.
Hmm, never have seen face unlock on an Apple device. Apple is suing over how an Android phone auto corrects the words being typed? No wonder as Apple's auto correct sucks.
Suing over unified search? WOW!!!

Easy way to slap a troll around is to show them the facts - they will still kick and scream on the way out the door, though.

Facts are Samsung is facing a ban

In USA...Last I checked USA is not the whole world. Sure, I feel sorry for US fandroids, but face it, the new Nexus is coming in about 3 months, and before then there are still a dozen Android devices to choose from, Apple is going to release the new iPhone that is going to have LTE, which almost every other company can sue them for, and that is their only one model. So it's obvious which is worst.
A 6 month old phone that's banned in the US.
A phone that hasn't been released but is destined to be banned with no other alternatives.

It is obvious what APPLE is trying to do with the marketplace. Set it up nice and easy for their innovative 4G LTE 4" screen iphone 4GS - without any competition it will sell even more and they win market share again.

Why do you love APPLE so much? Do they give you money or things in general? APPLE does not care about its users, so I find it amusing that you 'cheer' on a company that is basically trying to slow down innovation. Look at their own iphone products - innovation at the speed of snail crawling.

He's a sheep. He has shown time and again that he will say whatever comes to mind to support his argument, even though he has no knowledge of the subject. Here are some of his most recent:
He claimed the Phone Arena review of the HTC One X said the phone was laggy. The review actually said it had zero lag.
He stated that the iPhone had a higher resolution screen than 720p.
He claimed that a study stated that Android users were not tech savvy, because they didn't know how to set up WiFi on their phones. The study actually attributed the lower incidence of WiFi use on Android to the access to 4G LTE making WiFi superfluous. It was a blog which took the study, and twisted it to say Android users were not tech savvy. (In a way, the study was showing that iPhone users used WiFi more because their outdated hardware forced them to)
He claimed that user agent spoofing doesn't affect web statistics, even after shown links which proved it did, and a link showing that Opera browser was removing the ability to change the User Agent because it was lowering their web stats when users set it to Desktop.
In this very comment section, He claimed that there were no tablets prior to the iPad, when in fact there were Windows based tablets a decade prior to the iPad, and Steve Jobs admitted he stole the idea from a Microsoft employee.

Tedkord Taco chats, talks from his arse. He's a looser and a big lier..... He has no self respect ov him-self. He has lost his mind, body and soul! Apple has totally brainwashed him along Gallitoking.... He talks complete nonsense. And "BOGUS"...! He's lost his plot. There is no logic in his stance. Didn't know I was so important in your life that you keep a blog of everything I do. Let me help you out. I had eggs benedict for breakfast today so you can add that to your tally.
You're wrong on every point you just made
274. tedkord (Posts: 3414; Member since: 17 Jun 2009)
Your own mother doesn't think you're important.
I offered links for each point given, showing you were wrong. You just insisted you weren't, offering no supporting evidence - because there is none. You were totally wrong on each point listed. The phone arena review said no lag, 640x960 is lower res than 720x1280, the ComScore study attributed lower incidence of WiFi use by Android users to their LTE access and not the tech unsavvy, and uastrings do pollute web stats.
I'm simply making sure that no one who inadvertently wanders to this site doesn't read your rants and mistakenly think you're intelligent or knowledgeable.

'Jobs recognized the value of imitation as a way of driving innovation. In a 1990's interview he said: "Picasso had a saying, he said: 'Good artists copy, great artists steal'. We have, you know, always, ah, been shameless about stealing great ideas". That's what good artists do. They extend the great work of others and in so doing honor them.'
294. jroc74 (Posts: 3459; Member since: 30 Dec 2010)
But its ok for Apple to be seen an an artist by the iFans. When others try to be artist....LAWSUIT!!!!

let me just say this, apple may have a win for now but they have not won the case. also this just shows how ridiculous the US patent system is because samsung get found not guilty of using apples data tapping patent but htc get found guilty of apples data tapping patent lol how stupid is that...finally if apple ever want to have lte in there iphone then they better get ready for lawsuits by samsung as samsung own 12% of lte patents...as for anyone who thinks the nexus or the s3 look or feels anything like an iphone then you clearly are delusional cause thats like saying a bottle of coke looks like a bottle of pepsi

276. aschamy (Posts: 7; Member since: 12 Jun 2012)
don't take this the wrong way, But IOS is not as bad. It's just, diferent.
I use Android, but I have to give points to IOS on some things that Android lacks, like stability and formality
I don't think its a thing of sucking or not, but something of preference. IOS its a bit more formal and sober. Andoid is more of an excentric that loves to call attention to itself OS.
But it doesn't mean one or the other sucks
277. tedkord (Posts: 3414; Member since: 17 Jun 2009)
You're right, of course. There are plusses and minuses to each. iOS is stable, but limited and inflexible. Android is powerful, but updates can take a while.
The stability and smoothness delta between the two is minimal to non-existent. It all comes down to personal preference. If you're not very technically inclined or don't want to customize, iOS might be your cup of tea. If you're a tinkerer, or movie watcher, Android might be right up your alley.
Also, Windows Phone is looking promising.

I love Apple products. But after much research and months and months of comparison it came down to 3 devices the Iphone, EVO LTE and Galaxy Nexus. I had to go with the Nexus. Raw Andriod sold me. Plus I like the realestate of the Nexus. the EVO and its no battery access turned me away. I still love my Apple computers but the size and cost turned me away. and if the updates dont come at a good pace there is always a MOD out there. Already rooted for hotspot. So long paying sprint for that.
275. aschamy (Posts: 7; Member since: 12 Jun 2012)
Its Actually really sad to see a company like Apple play like this. I really like what they do, and to be honest they might not have the most beautiful OS on the market (that goes in taste). but they do have the most stable one (I had up to IOS 5). Still, competition is a good thing and I think that insted of taking things to the legal side they should focus on making something revolutionary, like they used to do.
I'm have an S3 and love it but I also love the Iphone, (so no one thinks I'm one of those only 1 OS fanboy.)

i'm sick about this sh*t if you think you build a better product well made it dont sue the competition. thats make me think you cant beat the competition so you do this?? wow don't make a fool about yourself and end this is no good to innovation... that make people think that is a better product than yours and is out there!! so now what you gonna sue them all? thats ridiculous!!

Dumb question, and I know I will get a lot of thumbs down, but is Judge Koh up for re-election and if so who is fronting her campaing. My guess is that it is some of the employees of Apple. Why would she all of a sudden change her mind?
