CDMA iPhone 4 is to go to sprint. Thats what i was told today when i went in to check on switching to them. the sales person behind the counter also gave me the same date mentioned here as well.

Lol they got you. You believed every word they told you. Their main objective was to get you to stay with them and they accomplished that. Loser

This is absolutely hilarious. Even though you misunderstood how the original post meant to say that they were "thinking about switching to" Sprint, you were still completely correct in that that person who was gullible enough to believe that Sprint was going to get the iPhone 4 and also dumb enough to believe a sales rep that was trying to make a sale, they are in fact a loser... cheers.

Ok i get the iphone was the first smartphone ever and it was the best thing ever, but common, dont u think is time to actually look at the feature on the phones and not just the brand?, big red has ghe x and the droid 2 global, without counting the fascinate and the other device those 2 are better than the iphone and u dont have to be kissing steve jobs ass for it and hace to wait days to get it fix or replace or anything dven when is simple truobleshooting becasue the think they are the best cream out there and no one is good enough if not approved by him, cant customize, cant even pull the damn battery out the smurffing phone bc only "they" can do it

The iPhone wasn't the first smartphone ever. It just changed the way we think of and use smartphones.

he was probably just too much of an idiot to realize the magnitude of features his phone posessed and got pissed off when he realized it had more than 3 screens to navigate through

The main reason why people prefer Android to iPhone is because of customization. But I honestly think Android's customization is just putting lipstick on a pig. Yes you can have moving wallpapers, yes you can turn on bluetooth and wifi from the start menu, you can also see your weather or pretty clock, blah blah blah. But I know first hand that it gets old. The iPhone UI is extremely boring, but I'm not going to switch because of customization. awesome music player, amazing camera and hd camcorder, great build quality, still the best apps on any operating system, and one of the best browsers even without flash. Droid X and Droid 2 are more customizeable, but not better.

It's safe to say that both platforms are equally appealing to the general audience. However, it is obvious you are biased.

a browser without flash is not comparable to a browser with flash. unless you are die hard apply fan and obviously you are.

the iphone UI works much better than the android UI. if i was going to do a tv commercial for an android phone i would have to enhance the its performance to remove lagging, and make the camera look better than it actually is...

But for an iphone all i need is...an iphone and im good to go

There are a lot of phones out there that are better than the iphone spec-wise. the iphone however does everything perfectly

A flash browser does not make a better browser. i used to think that way until i got an android smart phone with a flash browser and couldnt stand using the browser...so it has flash, but at what cost more lagging, slower response time...

apple has standards and would not compromise does standards,

bottom line android offers quantity while iphone offers quality, which do you prefer...

Are you kidding, I would completely love to have flash on the iPhone. But I still feel that the Android web browser is still so choppy. Every single Android phone I use has a terrible browser. I mean, is google going to fix that? Yes the iPhone has no flash and its a flagrant flaw, but you will never hear me say that Android has a better browser. More features yes, better no.

6 million CDMA iPhones compatible with Verizon would be an example of "supply and demand". The lower the supply, the more they can charge for it.

I think that there might be a way around the AT&T agreement by releasing a CDMA iPhone that is compatible with Verizon overseas and might have some sort of agreement with Verizon to "flash" or unlock them to be used here in the US. I'm sure that if people want a Verizon iPhone enough, that they would be willing to pay to have one shipped over here to use. And again, I think that 6 million CDMA iPhones would be an example of "supply and demand."

Okay i just have a random thought. Why would VZW release and Iphone in Jan/Feb, with a new one coming out in June or so? I was just thinking about this, but i guess you will have alot of impatient people that will jump all over the Iphone 4 if its released Jan/Feb.

for the same reason they released the original Motorola Droid/Droid Eris then shortly after released the Droid 2/Incredible/Droid X. With a big customer base such as Verizon it may suck for those who recently upgraded but there's always someone who is available for an upgrade or those fanatics that will add a new line of service just to get the promotional pricing. Most people are impatient and can't so potentially double the sales for Apple.

I was thinking the same thing. Why not wait until June announce a CDMA iPhone 5. But I guess people would buy an iPhone 4 on Verizon anyways. People are still buying Droid X and Incredible even though they've been out for a while so I guess that's the reasoning.

I see apple announcing a CDMA iPhone at most. Apple is clockwork. They haven't and don't break production cycles. iPods September. MacBooks shortly after, iPhones in June/July. That's how they work. They have never broken schedules or tradition. So announcing a CDMA iPhone for the summer sounds natural. Then again this comes with much doubt from me.

it makes no sense for verizon to buy a bunch of CDMA phone since they are switching over to to LTE. why would they release the i phone on a 3G network when all of the new phone that are comming out are going to be 4G?

Verizon will *never* be the one to announce an iPhone on their network. It will always be Apple because it's Steve Jobs' and Apple's love child. They control it and they will always be the ones to announce which networks it will come out on. That's just the way it typically is.

the iphone is not comming to verizon. period. end of sentance. we can all dream of the so called "best phone on the market" on the best carrier (its really not the best thing out there, people are just extremely stuborn and cant get past anything thats not a big name brand) all of the new phones that are going to be released on the verizon network are going to run on LTE (verizons 4G network) it makes no sense for verizon to order 21 million CDMA iphones if theyre not even going to run on their newest and fastest network. there are too many bullshit rumors going around. everyione needs to pull their heads out of the clouds and realize that verizon and apple are two huge corporate super giants and arent going to merge. apple is to stuborn and verizon is already making a bundle on droid. is good competition and keeps the market evened out if apple came to verizon it would create a gigantic monopoly data prices would shoot through the roof and there would be nothng anyone could do about it. everyone just needs to relax and be happy with the way thing are
