My chips are not only on Android jumping over iPhone by the end of the year in the USA, but also because the new WIN7 phones are out,, Blackberry will loose sooo much ground it may end up in 2nd place by the end of 1stQtr 2011 or earlier..

If we are speaking in terms on market share by phone manufacturer then why are we talking about Android in this article? Android does not create any hardware, it is an OS on multiple hardware fendors. In these terms, lets see how Motorola, HTC, Samsung, and others compare because this is not about OSs'. These are the type of articles that lead to the silly flame wars and pissing contests that many of us are getting sick of.

The Android OS on any phone manufacturer will generate more sales than without. It is easier to say Android than to list every phone manufacturer that installs Android on their hardware. FreneyZan correctly identified Android jumping over Apple, just looks at the sales numbers.
