Apple to send out iOS update to fix iMessage bug

0. phoneArena 02 Oct 2013, 11:00 posted on

On Tuesday, we told you that a number of Apple iPhone owners have been experiencing problems with the iMessage application ever since they updated their handset to iOS 7; messages are not being sent out and some that re sent are not being received in a timely fashion. Some messages are being received hours later, sometimes with a batch of other messages that were sent earlier in the day...

I have the iPad 4 WiFi and I notice lag, also a lot of app crashing. At least compared to my TouchPad on Android (4.2.2). Obviously not a fanboy as I have both. I disabled the paraplex and closed all other apps and still see lag. Switching keyboards, navigating through apps, Siri, and other workflows gives me lag.

Do a full wipe and only OS install (set it up as a new device). See if it lags in that state, then download some of your free apps and if they make it lag. If any of the above do, then you have a problem. If they don't then you are causing the problem by installing something that is making it lag or something like that.

I am causing the problem? Apps approved by Apple in an ecosystem by Apple and I am the one causing the problem? Sounds like a "You're using it wrong." Lol.

What lag? May be you're talking about iPad 2, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. FYI these devices are very old and do not have the CPU + GPU power to run iOS 7. But you can rest assured that Apple will make them atleast a little smoother in the 7.1 update. My iPad 4, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S are running flawlessly.

The 4S and iPad 2 are actually okay, since they both have the A5, it's mostly the iPhone 4 with the A4 that's struggling a bit.

I'm struggling a LOT on my 4S, but the 5 is smooth as butter

Dude i have an ipad 2 and ipad 4. After upgrading to ios7 i experience some lags on both device.. Even the iphone 5 of my office mate got the same experience..and it drains my battery faster than ios 6. I understand on ipad 2 coz as what you said it has an old cpu + gpu power to run ios but on my ipad 4 is un acceptable..hope apple fix this in their next update.

So 3 fix it updates in how many weeks?
I thought Apple products were supposed to "Just work".
Maybe they should raise the price of the phone another $100 and pay the Chinese slave children less, and the phones will be better.

So what? At least you don't have to wait for months or years to get update or bug fix like most of Android devices.

What World are you living in? There is no product in the World has 0 bug.

Ah it's indeed an eye opener for some people to see iOS users complaining about lag, LOL.

Fortunately they can always root their iPhones and install a custom rom.

Oh wait a second. That's right. They can't. :D

Theres nothing apple can really do about the battery drain. Think about it. The new keyboard is white. The new text backround is bright white. All the menus The tool bars and others are all white. It drains more battery for displays to show white. So you all begged for a refresh. Here it is and you still complain. Try keeping the brightness off and just stay off your phones

Don't get me wrong I like the new iOS 7 look and feel, feel like new with my iPhone 5, I could name one thing that need an update too, the iOS 7 Siri voice quality. That need a major fix. After updating the iOS 7, her voice is still robotic, I tried everything I can nothing works, then I figure I compared it to my sister iPhone 4S, she got hers updated as well, she got the new Siri voice, something is not right. Can somebody tell me what went wrong?
