For those Japanese iOS owners who have a yen for buying paid apps (pun intended), it actually is the volatility of the Yen that is forcing Apple to raise the price of paid apps in Japan; Apple monitors the forex market, looking to even out dramatic moves amongst currencies. People still buy it so you cant just blame Apple, i mean they are a business and their job is to get as much profit as they can

While Apple products popularity is falling, Apple started to raise prices in App Store. Looks like a stupid tactic.
