guess take a win against samsung you can get.

I don't think this is the only thing they've won against them.

29. PhenomFaz posted on 19 Nov 2012, 15:03 12 1

Dude Samsung is the world leader in mobile revenue overall even surpassing Google! (ref PA article!)
And this seems to be the only straw that Apple is holding against Sammy and how long will this last? The iPhone 5 is an apic fail and Sammy is coming up with Galaxy S4 which'll be a super success with its Exynos 5 quad, 1080p screeen and what not! Therefore Sammy will beat Apple again in this domain!
Man Apple is all battered up....PIE anyone?

Yes it is.

40. schinnak posted on 19 Nov 2012, 23:57 2

I doubt that too. In the ad world, it doesnt matter how much you advertise. What matter is "Where" you advertise.

Remember all those S3 and Note ads during the Olympics? You get a feeling that you see Samsung ads everywhere.

Thats a good example of making the right investments to advertise at the right place.

Here's a link where Samsung is advertising inside AppleStore.

why did apple even hire him?

33. asulect posted on 19 Nov 2012, 15:48 5

Maybe he got a really good recommendation from his former boss Ann Droid?

I find this post all kinds of curious. Who the heck knows or even cares about ad impressions other than the respective companies? What matters at the end of the day is the number of phones sold. And as we all know, Samsung kicked Apple right in its core....

"What matters at the end of the day is the number of phones sold. And as we all know, Samsung kicked Apple right in its core...."

Only because Samsung releases a device almost every week. They have like a hundred variations of the Galaxy S phone.

If you look at it from a depth pov, Apple is doing much better in sales than Samsung is.

17. SleepingOz posted on 19 Nov 2012, 11:58 6 2

As far as I know Samsung is still holding the best selling smartphone record with more than 30millions GSIII sold, which is only one model. So your argument is irrelevant. =]

22. gallitoking posted on 19 Nov 2012, 12:59 2 9

only because it been out longer than the iphone 5 we all know the newest iphone has the sales records.. thats why Samsung delivers months before Apple so people like you can believe their hype.. proof. the iphone 4S beat the SGSII in sales

34. SleepingOz posted on 19 Nov 2012, 15:49

'coz you have a magic crystal ball or something?Just wait and see.. =]

24. p0rkguy posted on 19 Nov 2012, 13:22 2

Only because Apple doesn't release a device almost every week. They can have a hundred variations of the iPhone but they decided not to.
Stand by your company's decision. Quit making excuses. If Apple wanted to release 2 iPads in 1 year, don't complain about it. Support their decision by buying it.

This is the same as Windows vs Mac. Only strategy different now is Apple is mass distributing at educational institutions.
If Apple continues the way it is now, it's only a matter of 10 years.

28. elandrumiii posted on 19 Nov 2012, 14:25 1 4

Man dont waste your time with this audience. One phone against the masses. Doesnt register here. Anything that is an upturn for Apple will be torn down. I presently own the last samsung mobile device i will probably ever own. i customize my car not my phone so that aspect doesnt matter. Never liked LG so i wont be buying the new nexus 4. Apple is doing Apple and everyone hates that. The take some of there billions and put a factory in the states and i will be a fan for life.

42. elandrumiii posted on 24 Nov 2012, 07:55

I knew I would gets some thumbs down. I feel vindicated

3. iWorld posted on 19 Nov 2012, 10:26 3 16

Quality(Iphone) over quantity(Galaxy)

12. Whateverman posted on 19 Nov 2012, 11:13 9

I believe it was Brian Tong from cnet's "Apple Bite" that said the Galaxy SIII is now the most advanced phone on the market. That says a lot about the quality of Samsung's products. And with the Note II, they proved they can do it more then just one model.

14. dsDoan posted on 19 Nov 2012, 11:32 2

Give up the blind fanboyism. "Best" smartphone (quality, reliability, apps, etc) is pure opinion at this point. Most flagship phones produced now days are high-quality and near lag-free, and the app selection between iOS and Android is non-existent.

If you're 13 then have your fun, and hopefully you'll grow out of this immaturity at one point. If you're an adult, then refer to my first statement.

31. OptimusOne posted on 19 Nov 2012, 15:24 3

I agree. You root for whatever is your favorite.

I like android and my droid incredib 4g lte(soon to be DNA) but I can understand why someone would like a simpler(I call it stale) UI. I understand why someone wouldn't need to customize their phone(I on the other hand do). I understand why someone would like the Iphone 5 design over another phone(I personally like the HTC Amaze 4g's design). I understand why someone would like IOS better than android if they already have stuff backed up in itunes.

everything is personal opinion. you can choose to beleive in someone like brian tong. you can choose to beleive in a troll like galitoking or the late taco50. its all subjective

41. Mxyzptlk posted on 20 Nov 2012, 09:42

High quality is well worth it.

4. Mr.Mr.Upgrade posted on 19 Nov 2012, 10:31 10 3

Good for apple.. Now if they can only make innovative technology...

8. Mxyzptlk posted on 19 Nov 2012, 10:41 4 17

Apple is constantly making innovative technology. They make things people want to buy.

13. Non_Sequitur posted on 19 Nov 2012, 11:18 2

They do make awesome hardware. Just wish they'd make bigger screens on the iPhones, make iOS a lot more customizable and useful, etc.
The best thing they have going right now is the Mac line. My favorites are the new iMac and the 15 inch Retina Macbook Pro with dedicated graphics.

16. random posted on 19 Nov 2012, 11:54 6

Agreed Mxyzptik. Did you know just few days ago Apple got patent for this awesome reallife-like page turning for ebooks.
Apple really is way ahead of the competition when it comes to innovative technology. I mean really there is no telling what Apple is coming up with next, totally magical and revolutionary!

20. SleepingOz posted on 19 Nov 2012, 12:00 3

flipping hard cover animation patent?

21. random posted on 19 Nov 2012, 12:30 3

You sir, have just blown my mind, well done.

37. joey_sfb posted on 19 Nov 2012, 18:09

I wonder how much research fund has make its way into that animation patent.
All those story board programs better beware if you don't have money to defend your right to survive.

US patent system is insane and it killing innovation as corp like apple are putting road blocks along it.

18. Mr.Mr.Upgrade posted on 19 Nov 2012, 11:58 4

Dude innovative technology ...not siri ...make new capabilities on iPhone that no one else has on their phones..face recognition... customizations screens.... NFC......Google now...change keyboard... swype key board.. o my bad I'm talking about my Samsung galaxy nexus....dang what does iPhone make again?...never mind iPhone doesn't matter when it come to making future technology that (has not been done before)

32. OptimusOne posted on 19 Nov 2012, 15:26

I may or may not agree with you. if evolution is the same thing than innovation then of course I agree with you.
if a new product is always inovation because it has "new features" then of course I agree with you

5. Mr.Mr.Upgrade posted on 19 Nov 2012, 10:32 1

Key word ( innovative technology) get that iPhone users.... look it up

10. _Bone_ posted on 19 Nov 2012, 10:50 2 2

So Samsung sells more, Apple spends more, I guess it's a draw.

11. rainingday007 posted on 19 Nov 2012, 11:00

More impressive doesn't mean spend more.

15. lpratas posted on 19 Nov 2012, 11:33 4

I don't know why people are crazy. Continuing to buy Apple products overpriced and with a limited and atrophied OS. The brainwashing has given result.

23. gallitoking posted on 19 Nov 2012, 13:11 1

the money you save buying Android your wife/mom over spend in the majority of products... 90% of the products are overpriced.. welcome to reality..

25. p0rkguy posted on 19 Nov 2012, 13:33 4

You forgot to mention how overpriced they are. Welcome to reality.

19. lyndon420 posted on 19 Nov 2012, 12:00 3

What does siri have to say about this?

26. Leon101 posted on 19 Nov 2012, 13:55

Both Apple and Sammy are good!!

27. Jeradiah3 posted on 19 Nov 2012, 14:07 4

Seems to me that Apple needs to market their products to make themselves relevent again. Apple is losing the "king of smartphones" debate because there are more attractive features coming from Samsung like AirView, Multi-tasking, and the S-Pen to name a few. Ive also noticed that Apple commercials only display the phone and one feature.........whereas Samsung markets their phone within real-live situations to make it more appealing. Plus, Samsung commercials are more creative than Apple's!

i guess it depends on what you want your phone to. i'll go with a device that displays my creativity and thats Samsung!!

35. harpdogg posted on 19 Nov 2012, 15:57

wait isnt seeing less adds better for the customer?

38. lyndon420 posted on 19 Nov 2012, 18:25 1

Only if you already know what you want. There are soooooo many different Android phones out there, but Sammy is the only one who actually spends on decent advertising.
