Apple stands no chance without Steve Jobs (poll results)

We asked you a few days ago what you think of Apple's chances for success (or fail) in the mobile business now that it isn't run by Steve Jobs, and it seems that most of you don't believe that it stands a chance against the competition...

Then that would be in another 2-3 years... The rise and fall of Apple... Without S.Jobs Apple would go Job Less....

No, it's been obvious that even with sociopathic Jobs will fall sooner or later.... iPhone 4 with Jobs was 0 innovative
No NFC....... and even worse HW than every highend with Android

All that and the iPhone 4 was still the 2010 top seller. Hmmmmmm

Weird, why reader say Apple dead, while some articles that iPad account for 70% sales in China... Apple earns more than Microsoft Google Amazon Facebook combined... And iPhone 5 soaring in US... Not to mention, Apple remain no1 big company in the world...
Whom should I believe?? pa article? Or poll? Help logic!! I'm confused :s

Past sales =/= future sales
Dont think apple is going to die though. Too much of a trend right now, will stay in the market for quite some time

The real challenge us what does Apple do for its next 'one more thing' (remember those moments?).
Which is why I voted too early to tell.

This poll is not about today, but tomorrow you can't predict numbers just by looking at today. Apple market was 90+ last rear now is 50-55, many people have lowered their estimates, hype won't last forever, people get bored of the glorified app launcher iOS is, I was surprised when I asked John V about the nexus 10 when he reviewed it, implying that if it has more tablet optimized apps would be a hit, he replied telling me that he liked the N10 better despite any of that. How long before Google simply catches up in terms of apps for tablets?
Also there are many non apple fans in here that influences too

Sounds like somebody needs another good "snake oil salesman"... But IMHO, if Apple brought back Steve Wozniak, and gave him the power of Tim Cook, they would make great leaps. Wozy is more King Solomon like, in terms of OSes or smartphone judging. I use a Note and a iphone, and i trust the opinions of Steve Wozniak... :)

Can you guys use a different picture of Steve Jobs? If I must be reminded of him (over and over and over again), I'd rather see a youthful and healthy person; not the emaciAted and sickly iteration.

...why? The later photo is of the one who was in charge during apple's best-to-date market gains. The younger one left the company.

Worse thing that'll happen, apple will sell their stuff for a quite limited amount of people. Apple products - is an Rolex Watches, only in IT. Lots of people just did not realised it yet.

Its ok...Apple will just continue to sue manufactures (samsung, motorola,RIM, etc...) to keep cash flow coming in since they are trending around 120-125million devices shipped/sold behind samsung now a days! and Nokia and Samsung continue to be the 2 Kings in the mobile world.

Dumb poll on here. Phone arena filled with apple bashers.

Apple will only be able lolly-gag on innovation one more time with the release of the iPhone 5S. After that, all bets are off.
If there is not a serious overhaul in the physical design of the iPhone 6 together with the dated iOS software, Apple will be in SERIOUS trouble.
The Android OS is moving forward at breakneck speed and if Apple isn't able to keep up they will have to start producing devices with Vertu like quality just to stay relevant.

Apple was dieing before Steve did. Like seriously...if he was still around would there be a mini iPad and iphone with a 4" screen? Pretty sure he was against those size options. Bring in the Woz and gain some much needed respect from the masses.

The poll read pointless. As many pointed out, Apple were already losing the mobile war with Jobs. Will it hasten without Jobs? Who knows?
Personally, I think the change over could be a boon for Apple. Part of the reason Apple were losing was Jobs' stubbornness and unwillingness to admit mistakes. If Cook can be more responsive to the shifts in the market, Apple could become a bigger player.

Apple was falling behind just a bit before more POWERFUL Android phones are starting to come out & selling fast while he was even alive running Apple
