Shares of Apple are once again approaching the magical price of $500, although this time it is on the downside as poor reception in China to the launch there of the Apple iPhone 5 has investor dumping the stock; in China, the lack of long lines for the latest version of Apple's iconic smartphone was a clear sign that something was different this time...

And in 7 colors if the colors that they launch could be patented so that they could also escape the "it's so obvious" clause. Else they stay black and white till others have co nclusively established which colors sell.

Unlike 'most' Americans (pardon moi) that goes gaga over iPhone.

I'm confused...
Apple hasn't had lines here in the US because they started doing a better online system. People balked saying that Apple was losing its touch. Come to find out Apple did a better job with their online reservations and had still made record sales.
So then you have China...where people were pissed because Apple ran out of iPhones. So Apple improves reservation system, not only to stop everyone from being so physically angry at the lack of product, but to stop scalpers...yet people still balk saying Apple isn't selling as well.
I'm interested in seeing the discussion when Apple actually releases their sales numbers. Here's a story that outlines it a bit...

All I have to say is my Elliot wave post from PA's past articles stated that this would happen, and I also posted about wave 5 tops. Anyway as I predicted Apple would try to retrace back to the highs and fail. Failing here sends it to $485.00 and possibly lower, then watch the fear and panic sell take over.
Apple is a great company that has possibly reached potential market saturation with no new worth while product to push it forward short of analyst pumping it as they dump it to unsuspecting buyers!
I can't wait to see what unfolds after the Christmas Holiday sales. Bad news will send the stock lower. Remember I also predicted a wave 5 top for the regular stock market and predict as revwersal after the 1st quarter reports for 2013!

I worked for Verizon and after I left I still have Verizon service. I didn't buy the Nexus 4 because it did not meet my expectation to upgrade from Galaxy Nexus. People in Asian countries understand technology and gadgets and the Iphone 5 is nothing special or worthy of an upgrade. Instead of Apple innovating they spend their R&D money on advertising. Every movie, sitcom, commercial has an Iphone and Apple is footing the bill. Americans want to be popular, appear smart and rich, Apple gives them that illusion.

Was the iPhone5 being sold online in China? Could be a matter of people pre-ordering and buying online.

I am really enjoying watching the stock plummet just like I thought it would. You can't have 4 of the exact same product, just making it bigger or smaller for 7 straight years. I am not sure if people are actually starting to catch onto this or they really don't like their products anymore.
I am looking forward to the iPhone 5S launch and them telling everyone how much more "PHENOMENAL" it is over the 5. iFAIL!

Apple simply just can't get away with the high price anymore. Unsubsidized, there are 10+ alternatives that do more and cost less. When the iPhone 4s came out and people were going crazy over it, Google was just getting out of its tarnished Android reputation so it was 50/50 and many saw the iPhone price as justified. Now that Google and the manufacturers stepped their game up, going with Android or even Windows is a no brainer.

lumia 920T went on sale this week along with the iphone 5 and will outsell the iphone 5. just on the basic fact that the lumia 920T works on more carriers than iphone 5 (meaning you can keep your number) and has better specs.

Today we have 3% stock plunging.. and having sex more than once a week makes you an addict.
As for this article.. things don't seem to bode well for Apple. At some point here in the US people will also wake up and the magical marketing enema that apple has up so many people's a$$e$ will be removed and things will continue to slide.
can Apple afford another 4-4s micro update? They need some significant changes.. NOW.

It's because the Chinese had all their resellers in Best Buy buying all the iPhone 5s they wanted back when it launched here in the US. It was so bad that we had to issue a company wide policy to not sell more than one iPhone 5 per customer unless it was being activated.
