World Class Auditorium, Top of the line Fitness Center, several 5 Star lunch rooms around the campus, and many more luxuries.... Oh you will never see them but all will be made possible with your zoning approval and complete funding with your continued purchase of our overpriced/overrated products. Man, I love this company. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is looking to cut out luxuries and overall spending.

wow.. iSheap university & research center. "you can never go outside, and outsiders can never come in!"
So, instead of apple improving things at foxconn, it looks like apple is taking a few pages FROM foxconn. Does the new building come with jumper nets too?

Hopefully it will include a state of the art propulsion system so that they can blast off to Mars permanently. They would fit in a lot better there.

Apple says they are building this high-tech, spaceship looking building. In reality it is an alien craft that Apple was awarded in a lawsuit. Apparently the aliens' control interface for ship operations too closely resembles the iOS UI.

totally right and its interface actually copies the feel of new ios in 2050. I am with apple on this one. Aliens should not copy ithings. they should invent their own tech.

It's fun to flame Apple in articles that have almost nothing negative about them...
Any way you slice it, a billion+ dollar compound is good for everybody.

ooh ooh.. how do i benefit too??
we're part of everybody.
hell, how does ANYONE benefit, if no one is allowed on the campus????

I want to know how does it affect you?. since you dont buy any Apple products. what they do with their money how does that affect you?...
22. chadrick0814 posted on 21 May 2012, 15:27 1
It affects everyone because their legal department will probably take up 80% of the office space. They will have plenty of room to work purchasing patents for things invented by other companies. Then, figuring out how to ban other products for using features that have existed for years. 19% of the building will probably go to the marketing department. 1% will probably go to R & D as they figure out how to get real 4G and multi-tasking technology into a phone...then it will go back to the marketing department so they can make commercials describing how they innovated 4G and multi-tasking and everyone else is copying them.

Well it will definitely help the construction job market in that area which has really been struggling in all of California since the Housing Bubble. Either way, it looks like an architectural marvel. I haven't seen anything like it. It looks very nice.

This seems to be a good thing for the state and the city of Cupertino. The thing I focused on was where it says, "will not have any manufacturing or heavy industrial activity onsite". I know this made Foxxcon very happy to see but this just seems like another middle finger to the middle class. We need to send a message to all these so-called US tech companies that refuse to build products here, but love selling them to us at 50 - 70% profit. They need to sent a message that if we can't build it, then we won't buy it. Importing is one thing, but an American company not making ANY products in America, AND not paying taxes in America should be criminal. The exact same way its criminal for US citizens to live here, make money here, but avoid paying taxes. If it didn't work for Al Capone, it shouldn't work for Apple, Motorola, Google, etc, etc...
