Apple sees plenty of downloads on iTunes for Michael Jackson songs
With newspapers worldwide reporting Michael Jackson's passing on their front page, it seems his music is spreading to a whole new generation. Apple is reporting huge purchases of Jackson's songs on iTunes and inadvertently profiting after his death. As of Friday evening, six of the top ten songs being bought in the U.S. was from Jackson with an even head shaking nine out of ten top albums bearing his name. Apple has done their part by not heavily marketing his music in order to make a profit. The only thing you'll see is just a single banner to honor his passing. So iPhone users all around the world are checking out and reliving some of those classic songs from the legendary performer.

I noticed that too. Yesterday, Black Eyed Peas had the highest selling album. As of now, they are number 10 and #1-9 is all Michael albums. Black Eyed Peas still have the number 1 song, but Michael Jackson is #2,3,4,5,7,9,11,12,15,17, etc. And this is all within about 24 hours.
