No sooner is the Samsung Galaxy S being pre-ordered in the States, than Apple is back in U.S. Court seeking to add the Samsung Galaxy S III to its request for a preliminary ban on the Samsung GALAXY Nexus; Apple says the Samsung Galaxy S III infringes on two of its patents including one for Siri...

I know. How can Samsung keep ripping off Apple year after year? Can they ever be original?
28. sprockkets (Posts: 1307; Member since: 16 Jan 2012)
So they made a siri clone. Like there aren't 10 of those already in the android market.
Whoopy. You make it sound as if siri didn't exist before apple and they invented talking robots.

I agree! Skyvi and several more on android market. Most all of phones I have owned has slide to unlock! Apple, You Big Cry Babies!!!!!!! Phones coming out that is way better and faster and blows you away in sales, now your going to whine about it. Apple has way to many issues with me to buy anyway. Guess if apple sales drops, they don't want any others selling either. Just make a better phone losers. No changeable battery or memory card in iphones. Thats stupid!!! APPLE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
29. natesvlogs (Posts: 40; Member since: 15 May 2012)
This can't happen. This is the ONLY thing I've ever pre-ordered.

Can Apple Fanboys ever be original?
Like I said on my post earlier, how you like that Notification slide down that Apple oh so obviously ripped off of Android?
Apple is making an iphone with a bigger screen, ANDROID COPY CATS! See how stupid that sounds too?
Oh but that's okay tho right, it's Apple. They can feed you crap and you'll thank them for it.
I guess you also think it's okay when Apple steals apps from developers and claims them for themselves too right?
44. ekia007 (Posts: 61; Member since: 27 Feb 2012)
Tottally agreed! Not to mention Apple copied Status bar from Android.
70. Mxyzptlk (Posts: 3998; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
How can Apple copy something so generic?
77. remixfa (Posts: 14056; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
you mean like suing people over a rectangle design with a centered screen, generic?
79. RORYREVOLUTION (Posts: 3040; Member since: 12 Jan 2010)
Let's be Apple and pretend we invented slide to unlock for your phone and try to sue for that. OH THATS RIGHT WE DIDNT INVENT IT.
127. jroc74 (Posts: 5192; Member since: 30 Dec 2010)
I know you cannot be serious...when they sued or were gonna sue Motorola for the Xoom.....for hardware.
Where in the hell does the Xoom resemble an iPad?
I see now some of yall post JUST to get the negative feedback. Must be like a drug or something....
72. Alf72 (Posts: 1; Member since: 06 Jun 2012)
@ekia007...Hi! Totally agree with U. Now, Apple should finish the new Iphone 5 and let this NONSENSE...simple and easy!
92. E.N. (Posts: 2357; Member since: 25 Jan 2009)
A bigger screen is not a feature dude, its more of a trend than anything else.
98. legion7 (Posts: 1; Member since: 06 Jun 2012)
yep , the same notifaction bar which google ripped from nokia N 900 . Android fanboys should check the facts first and then comment
124. Raymond_htc (Posts: 430; Member since: 06 Apr 2012)
BUT then.... Your dear apple steals the android status/notification bar.. Any last words, iPhoney boy?
141. remixfa (Posts: 14056; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
i didnt realize that the N900 traveled back in time and came out before the G1!!
160. thedarkside (Posts: 652; Member since: 30 Apr 2012)
i dont think anyone is going to get butt hurt over screen size that has nothing to do with the actual OS.
45. ekia007 (Posts: 61; Member since: 27 Feb 2012)
Stfu. No Apple fan boy ok? Apple copied many Android features.
91. E.N. (Posts: 2357; Member since: 25 Jan 2009)
What Android features did Apple copy? So far I only have notification bar, and that's not even really Android's creation.
69. Mxyzptlk (Posts: 3998; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
Android fans apparently hate the truth 17 times.

Since when have your words ever been classified by anyone but yourself as a "beating?"
Back from therapy yet? Please tell me you didn't try to assault the therapist again.

You're the one who needs therapy. I told you there's nothing wrong with coming out of the closet.

YES this is just stupid, even me as a apple fan thing this is just over the limit. First thing i see the title WTF
94. anywherehome (Posts: 971; Member since: 13 Dec 2011)
so boycott this rotten behaviour and do not buy any iRotten product
64. Droid_X_Doug (Posts: 5917; Member since: 22 Dec 2010)
It is ridiculous. However, given that Apple did not fare too well the last time they prayed for an injunction in front of Judge Koh, I doubt they are going to fare much better this time around.
Apple is getting more of a favor from VZW delaying the launch of the GSIII to July 9th (WTF?!) than I suspect they will receive from Judge Koh.
131. Mxyzptlk (Posts: 3998; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
Ridiculous is Samsung continuously pushing out inferior products and flooding the market with product after product. Maybe if they focused on making something original and not a blatant copy then they won't have to worry about Apple suing them.
156. LostInTheRed (Posts: 85; Member since: 03 May 2012)
Please tell me what part of a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 4.8" screen, and being open source is inferior to the 800Mhz dual-core, 512MB RAM, 3.5" screen and being closed source is inferior?
172. bayusuputra (Posts: 941; Member since: 12 Feb 2012)
if you can't differentiate galaxy s3 and the tiny weeny iPhone, then either you are dumb, or you are blind.. but most probably, both..
oh, and since when a possible total of 128GB memory, with 1.4GHz quad core processors, 4.8" screen, 1GB RAM, 1.9Mp FFC, removable battery (oh, man, it's getting tiring to list all the SUPERIOR features of the SGS3 over the iPhone) is inferior to the iPhone?
the only things iPhone wins are 1. Overly priced, 2. overly hyped, 3. Overly praised brand name, 4. Arrogance and Selfishness..
166. bigdawg23 (Posts: 388; Member since: 25 May 2011)
you are incorrect
it is F'en Ridiculous.
This is Apples way, when a phone threatens your sales because of how nice it is you need to attack via lawsuit.
Yes Samsung does it at times, but I WANT ALL Of them to stop it now its costing us consumers a lot of money.
3. akita256 (Posts: 80; Member since: 26 Jan 2012)
I swear..........Apple is just like a spoiled child. All of these lawsuits are eventually going to turn a lot of Apple fans away from them.
9. Mark.J.Linskiy (unregistered)
And it will most likely backfire.
10. JeffdaBeat (unregistered)
...I want you to go over tohttp://www.appleinsider.com and see their reaction to lawsuits. Apple fans as well as the general public (who buy the vast majority of the iPhones) don't care...
49. Chronos (Posts: 258; Member since: 25 Feb 2012)
It's obvious that the general public and Apple fans don't care. These lawsuits mean nothing as long as they get their Macbooks and iPhones.

119. Sniggly (Posts: 7177; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
Wow. I love how hard the author of that article worked to make it out like pretty much any grievances the workers had was completely fabricated.
132. Mxyzptlk (Posts: 3998; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
I like how you pull out bs without proving it.
173. bayusuputra (Posts: 941; Member since: 12 Feb 2012)
all i can see from apple insider is articles about how apple wants to crush competitors with any means possible.. that's all..
30. PAPINYC (banned) (Posts: 2315; Member since: 30 Jul 2011)
I swear ........ Apple is just like a teething baby with the runnies and a desparate need for a diaper change.
Truth is: they'll lose all bowel control when that GSIII hits this month and they are very afraid [VERY].
I know alot of iPhone owners [hard to believe] waiting for that baby to drop.
40. akbar (Posts: 62; Member since: 09 Feb 2012)
You assume Apple cult followers can think independently. Not so sure.
84. E.N. (Posts: 2357; Member since: 25 Jan 2009)
most people have no clue about these lawsuits.....so no, sales will not be affected at all. If the galaxy siii didn't infringe any patents, then everyone needs to stop whining and it will release like it suppose to. If they did, then they're probably getting what they deserve.
169. Vorsayo (Posts: 21; Member since: 29 Jan 2012)
I won't by apple due to all the lawsuits. Sales affected! Then again i wont buy Samsung either because there doing it as well, not quite as often, but pretty frequently, and helping to perpetuate the problem. I'll stick with Motorola and HTC.
4. Mark.J.Linskiy (unregistered)
HA! Apple is hilarious.
5. JeffdaBeat (unregistered)
Can we please let this go? I'm so tired of these lawsuits. At this point, reporting on these lawsuits are like reporting that the sun rose this morning...
20. RORYREVOLUTION (Posts: 3040; Member since: 12 Jan 2010)
THAT PhoneArena should have a dedicated article section just for Apple lawsuits and leave them out of the main page. lol
I don't care which you like, Apple or Google. The bottom line is, competition is a good thing for US, the CONSUMER. People need to leave their fanboyism out of it. Apple is really digging their own grave with these. I used to love Apple. I used to BE a fanboy. When I finally got the iPhone 3G from having the Blackberry Storm, oh I thought it was the coolest and most powerful device there was. When I heard about the Motorola Droid, I laughed and acted like a typical apple fanboy.
Then I finally started to grow up and open my blinded eyes to see the real picture. iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS. Had little to NO changes, yet people were paying big money for them. Thanks to Google and Android in general, Apple started making some changes. They made a faster processor, gave you wallpapers, a notification bar that we all were begging for, landscape texting, higher screen resolution, a very impressive camera, and finally hopefully now, a larger screen. Yea I give thanks to COMPETITION for all of this.
You take away the COMPETITION and Apple gets lazy because they know you'll buy the next iphone no matter what.
85. E.N. (Posts: 2357; Member since: 25 Jan 2009)
Competition drives innovation, but copying does not. If I was a company and I spent months-years and 100s of million on research and development to come up with new features/technology, I would not be happy to see them immediately being incorporated in another device, especially if they didn't spend the same amount of energy and resources implementing it. What's the motivation to spend years and tons of money creating new technology if its going to be copied 5 minutes after you announce it? I think its very important that we treat this like business and try not to make it personal.
If Samsung did in fact copy new features in the SGIII, then Samsung should immediately remove them. If they didn't, then there's nothing at all to worry about
87. RORYREVOLUTION (Posts: 3040; Member since: 12 Jan 2010)
If you actually believe for a second Apple is suing for "copying" then you clearly have not been reading into it very well.
Samsung and HTC are both on a roll, with their Galaxy series and their One series. Both have been selling very well and harming Apple's sales and their place in the market. That is why Apple is targeting both of them. It's not about "protecting what's yours" because Apple didn't actually invent most of the crap they provide.
Can you imagine if every business sued their competition for having similar features?
How about cars? computers? tvs? The list goes on and on and on.
As I have stated already, Apple is not the victim and does not need to be treated as such. They are trying to create an monopoly and put fear into it's competition of not releasing quality products.
96. E.N. (Posts: 2357; Member since: 25 Jan 2009)
Yes I do actually believe it to be copying because all these companies have to do is release a software update and they're off the hook, just like what happened with the "bounce back" effect that Samsung copied and quickly removed and the slide to unlock that Motorola immediately dealt with. It's not like these devices are being permanently banned guys. Apple's devices are probably going to launch months from now so I don't see how a 1-2 week delay (if that) will have any benefit.
I think you all are reading waaay to deep into this. According to PA, the suits against HTC span across 29 different HTC devices which includes not so techy ones and not just specifically popular devices that are selling well i.e. the One Series like you guys are making it seem. In the case of Samsung, they're ADDING the SGIII to an already long list as well
S Voice is pretty similar to Siri and I wouldn't be surprised if they copied some very specific things (which samsung kinda does a lot). Its also possible that Apple bought out Siri for those specific patents or else Apple could have built their own voice command system from scratch since they do have plenty of money and resources.
140. tedkord (Posts: 5099; Member since: 17 Jun 2009)
Slide to unlock us something Apple copied from Neonode, and now wants no one else to copy.
103. techaman (unregistered)
the same is said who ever comes up with the idea for somthing, they dont get money or fame. and also all the things apple is crying about where never theres the web os had unified search before siri and siri is payed for from someone else apple never came up with anything just bought it from someone else, and samsung and sony make most of apples parts, so f them, they are just so scared that someone else will be better then them, they are the person that always has something bigger or better then the other person had or has.
125. JC557 (Posts: 1149; Member since: 07 Dec 2011)
What do you expect from hipsters like Apple and their devout followers (not all Apple users are like that)?
