#1, I rather have them coming with a solution of some of the missed step of iPhone instead not doing anything at all. They just start it. Going to be mad! Better days ahead

You guys are idiots. 3g iPhone is one of the best phones on the market. Firmware upgrades help improve the phone. Other phone companies don't even do that with their phones. I would get one but att is the only thing that's stopping me from getting one. Their service sucks.what really sucks though is how att and apple extended their contract one more year. Also apple is coming out with an iPhone nano which should be interesting

I gave mine back after 2 weeks and went back to VZW... I don't care what they update on this phone it will never fix ATT's crap network. I live in NY and have no 3g service in buildings...Whats that crap? With VZW I had 3g indoors about 98% of the time. Also dropped calls a big issue...I dropped more calls in the two than I did in the past 4 yrs with VZ. Iphone is nice n all but I need a phone, not a fancy toy that cannot perform because of the network. Goodluck all of you guys spending all that money a month for such poor service

LOL I have a $30 phone and never needed a software update because IT DOESNT FREEZE OR CRASH. Your all idiots...spend more time plugging your phone in updating shit praying it works rather than actually using it. Also, my $30 phone has stero bluetooth, MMS, Video Record and an OS that doesn't crash....have fun rebooting!

Of course your phone doesn't need software update, because is a $30 piece of sh*t. You shouldn't be commenting on stuff you don't know, go back and play with your $30 phone.

Try a Nokia E71 and you'll drop your iPhone, at least if you write more than 3 sms/email per day. Rock solid, so many features built in (my favourite is the name card scanner) and no jail break needed as you can use. Another favourite of mine: install the free Joikuspot on your Nokia phone to get - a mobile broadband Wifi access point (e.g. for your iPod Touch)!!!

Nokia is the best (smart) phone maker, Blackberry is the best maker of messaging devices and Apple knows who to make multimedia devices. And, well, Windows Mobile is for those who like devices with a reset button (sorry I couldn't find a positive differentiator). If the HTC Diamond only ran on a decent operating system...

You are all fanboys, whether it is with the LG Dare, Blackberry, Samsung Instinct, Nokia N or E series, or Apple. ADMIT IT!

ok. For those of you who are wondering about the update, there is another major issue that 2.0.1 fixes and that is the wifi signal strength indicator. When I upgraded to 2.0 I noticed that I could be standing right next to my wordless router and the signal would go up and down for wifi. It was very annoying. 2.0.1 fixed this. other than that JLTs post explained all the other fixes. Oh and please take down these childish posts on bashing the iPhone. I don't care that people do but there is a room for that. I had a hard time trying to find a post on the 2.0.1 fixes and had to keep going thru and readingthese dumb ass iPhone bashing posts. This blog needs a moderator for people who take this seriously.

I just updated to the 2.0.1 and I cant see any difference. My contact list is still tweaked out everytime i open it and occassionally my keyboard will freeze while in the sms app. The update seemed to be pointless.

Try a restore. Some people even had problems with app crashes with the update when the original didn't do that. It's timely, but restore will clear the ROM of any residual code left form 2.0 and get you off and running.
