Yesterday, we heard about the dumbfounded reaction of the U.K. Court of Appeal in London after it learned Apple hypocritically paid lip service instead of…

The judge should order Apple to publish a sincere apology and not this complicated article.

20. Nathan_ingx posted on 02 Nov 2012, 08:27 17

Funny. I'm still wondering why the 'supposed-to-be' APOLOGY statement is under the "Advertisement" header!
Shouldn't it be under "Notification"...or plain old "Apology"???

28. JeffdaBeat posted on 02 Nov 2012, 10:20 9

Any time you buy space in a newspaper, it's an ad.

Also, this is the worst apology ever...

29. Nathan_ingx posted on 02 Nov 2012, 10:51

I understand what you mean.
But still, if Apple cared, at least, they can re-format the not-so-apologetic statement and i'm sure they have that authority since they bought it. They can move the 'Advertisement' somewhere to the top right or left or wherever, and print a proper well spaced apology...

Seems like they're not too keen or don't give a damn...and that's when things start to change. They fall.

34. remixfa posted on 02 Nov 2012, 12:34 5

you didnt expect apple to act like a spoiled brat? we knew they would, and they certainly tried to spin the first "appology".

I say the judge goes back and forces them to write "were sorry to samsung and android for the misunderstanding" at the top of their next attempt. lol

39. Nadr1212 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 20:43

Apple just Technically did not apologize (of course) and should redo AND rewrite it

26. PhenomFaz posted on 02 Nov 2012, 10:04 3

well i just started ignoring apple's attitude...they are just too full of themselves, succes has got to them making them arrogant and their heads are so far up theor butt-puckers that they cant see anything in perspective anymore

37. StringCheese01 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 16:30

WHY APPLE GOTTA BE A WHITE HAND THO?

2. someones4 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:04 38

And guess what? it is STILL not an apology. How stupid can Apple be? Is the word 'sorry' not in their vocabulary? Oh.. i think it isn't.
Well, damn you Apple

7. eisenbricher posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:14 2

It's just so hopeless. There will be an additional chapter in Don'ts section of Management Books, in future.

12. TheLibertine posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:31 2

I never expected anything else, to be honest. And no company would do it another way.

15. jroc74 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:45 11

Not necessarily. Sony exec came on stage at E3 and apologized for the security breach.

16. TheLibertine posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:49 5

Also did Apple for "Maps".

19. Nathan_ingx posted on 02 Nov 2012, 08:23 2

...only!!

38. jroc74 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 17:06

Well, there you go....lol. Apple has done it before. I guess you cant win em all...

18. timtimity posted on 02 Nov 2012, 08:06 9

A lot of companies do recognise when they've screwed up or are in the wrong.

21. someones4 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 08:30 11

Japanese companies' ceo's/presidents are expected to bow and make a public apology if something goes wrong from their company.
It's not embarrassing or humiliating. It shows humility. Something that a**hole sitting on top of Apple doesn't get

22. timtimity posted on 02 Nov 2012, 08:51 6

They should read this

http://www.ereleases.com/prfuel/how-to-apologize-company-screws-up/

Even if they believe they don't need to apologise, a simple act of humility rather than the games they're playing will be more beneficial for their image. I think they feel that apologising will damage their image, but not apologising and trying to squirm out of it is probably causing a lot more damage.

People would have forgotten about this story by now if they'd made a simple apology when they were supposed to. All Apple have managed to do is create a much bigger, much more publicised story.

30. Darkerm posted on 02 Nov 2012, 11:12 4

Nice :D
Apple is behaving like a spoiled kid -_-

27. whysoserious posted on 02 Nov 2012, 10:18 3

Well that's not surprising. If they never apologize to customers for the crap they do with their iPhones, but rather say things like "It's normal" or "You're using it wrong," how much more for their rival?

3. hung2900 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:04 13

I still haven't recognized anything related to "apology" yet.
Expect for another obligation from the court.

5. eisenbricher posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:12 13

Any defence, iFans.. sorry iPhans? ('iFone' already kicked Apple)

6. BadAssAbe posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:13 5

Yep, still missing a word or two, like sorry or my apologies. heck,it even would be cool to see something like " Yo Bro, My Bad'ish, was not right in the head. Word, We cool like the other side of the pillow! Apple out Dwag! WestSide!"

8. Aeires (unregistered) posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:16 3

Easy fix, slap them with contempt of court and silence their arrogant, cocky attitudes.

9. protozeloz posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:18

Much better!!!

10. pikapowerize (banned) posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:22 1

lol... that was hilarious!

anyways hope both samsung and apple will calm down and just make innovation grow even bigger!

25. oister85 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 09:44 1

Ahhh just apple Samsung is doing really good.

11. bojan posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:25 5

for not doing what the judge said they said be ordered to pay 1 billion to sumsung then they will make jokes up there ass

13. _Bone_ posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:33 7

Unfortunately Apple still has the idiotic US patent system behind his back. When Samsung clearly is ahead in innovation, it shouldn't be punished for making better and more future-proof products.

23. someones4 posted on 02 Nov 2012, 08:53 3

in the US, you can buy innovation and it is the place where hard work goes to die.

14. timtimity posted on 02 Nov 2012, 07:39 2

I saw it this morning and almost ignored it. It's not an apology and unless you're aware of this story you wouldn't think it's from Apple.

17. networkdood posted on 02 Nov 2012, 08:01 3

This should the first thing you see when going on any APPLE website

24. rusticguy posted on 02 Nov 2012, 09:23

I don't think Apple had any other choice.
Matter of the fact is Samsung didn't copy for all practical purpose and applicable across entire EU

31. corporateJP posted on 02 Nov 2012, 12:12

These guys are just retarded.

Go draw a circle on a napkin and bring that to the patent office, Johnny Ives.

32. mukrenol posted on 02 Nov 2012, 12:16 1

Very technical but where is the simple 'sorry' part?

33. Justsadd posted on 02 Nov 2012, 12:25

finally dog brand lose..haha..samsung keep going

35. GeekMovement posted on 02 Nov 2012, 13:30

They totally did this unwillingly. Hopefully the judge can see that. Indeed it is very DRY.

36. gallitoking posted on 02 Nov 2012, 13:50

I think is great. they shouldn't have to apologize in the 1st place so this will comply to what those TV judges wanted... on the subject still waiting for HTC to apologize for their Beats fiasco..
