The label is clearly a mistake as there has not been any 3GS devices shipped with iPhone 2.2

Who would want a refurbished iphone? No wonder why it’s so cheap...and you only get a 90 day warranty for it and can’t even get insurance for the device so after 90 days you’re out of luck what a waste of money...

Sooooo really what you should be saying is why get a refurbished phone at all, not necessarily just a refurbished iPhone. It's the same with any refurb, you trade price for warranty, there's always a trade off. Many people don't understand that phones returned within return policy are also sold as refurbished, so it's not necessarily a bad phone, just not fresh out of plastic.

very true! but you can get insurance for any device when you purchase it just not insurance for the iphone they don’t sell it so if a refurbished iphone breaks your out of luck. if you buy another phone refurbished you can still get insurance on it witch makes it better if something does happen to your phone.
