Apple is going again to make lot of publicity to Samsung
Huge sales are coming for theses devices

No, they look and feel just like the iphone. Those devices deserved to be banned.
Apple is God and Apple wins :)

I disagree too, why would anyone signing a two-year contract want to go backwards? The only device of note of the seven listed is the GS2 in all variants. As for the Charge, I have one; and, it makes sense that it would be confused with an Apple device since it's just as buggy and crappy as one.
I hope this verdict does have a ripple effect in the U.S. economy; sending it into a thermonuclear nosedive.

papinyc-why would you wish for the economy to nose dive? you sound stupid. shut up

In my country people bye samsung because it Feels like an iPhone (actual quote)!

you do not realize that Apple will bully EVERY device in the future, not only these! and that's how to do a business in USA = bribing the judicial system
very very suspicious:
Apple everything vs. Google and Samsung NOTHING!
2. Jay_F (Posts: 236; Member since: 29 Nov 2011)
This is seemingly pointless. The GS2 is the only phone of note on there, but how many people will honestly bypass the GS3 just to go backwards? Apple are just being bullies at this point.

American legitimate system focus on the 3 feature out of a 100 to get a phone ban and claim that they support new innovation and encourage competitions.
Such irony. LOL!!
If they just fine samsung for an $X amount of money per infringement it will still make sense.
3. FrostyDanny (Posts: 90; Member since: 15 Jul 2012)
I have used half these devices and NONE of them are even close to being like an IPhone what is wrong with Apple? Why are they doing this this? Lol I just don't get it
24. remixfa (Posts: 14224; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
neither will you... neither will you.
chicken head! :)
25. andro. (Posts: 1974; Member since: 16 Sep 2011)
they are very different, but the reason apple wants rid of them is that they were the root devices, the root devices from past few years from which a mighty tree of android and samsung has grown and grown to the point that apple is not only felling under threat but in a worldwide stage has seen android take almost 70% of the market share and that is going to continue to rise.
Most of these devices are old at this stage or considered barely midrange so most people won't care if they taken off market. Samsung is getting much pr from this and even more attention and popularity is been brought to the galaxy ranges.
37. joey_sfb (Posts: 3485; Member since: 29 Mar 2012)
Apple will rid of all competitions thru legitimate actions as long as its give them the advantage.
In fact all businesses are expect to do that as long as they can get away with it.
To restore competition, America has to fix their broken legal framework or pay the price later.

A promise being made to Steve jobs. The war is against Google. The idea is to destroy the infrastructure. Break the the arms and legs, then destroy the head.
5. Non_Sequitur (Posts: 1111; Member since: 16 Mar 2012)
Man, f**k this s**t. The only one that is remotely similar to iOS is the GS1. GS2 has NO relation to iOS, which is why I got it. Haha. :P
Besides, 1.5 bil for god damn ICONS?
I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
46. ftyler223 (Posts: 140; Member since: 06 Aug 2012)
non_sequitur- you are clearly a retard. the galaxy s 2 is the gs1 with a bigger screen and spec improvements. other than that they are the same dip s**t. to say the only one that is the same is s1 makes you sound retarded. shut up for now on
51. Non_Sequitur (Posts: 1111; Member since: 16 Mar 2012)
No, you shut up. And take a first grade English class. You seriously need it.
The GS2 has a newer version of Touchwiz that doesn't look as similar to iOS. And yes, it has a bigger screen and good spec improvements, unlike your boring iPhone, which has hardly changed in years.
57. remixfa (Posts: 14224; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
the SGS2 has competely different hardware and stronger hardware, is larger, has different aspect ratios, has a different design, completely different screen, a bigger camera, and a completely different version of TW that looks very little like the one found on the SGS1...
but yea.. other than all that, they are identical twins..
6. Carlitos (Posts: 360; Member since: 23 Oct 2011)
Apple is on Crack. How does the SGS2 and its variants across At&t, sprint and t-mobile look like an iphone! Even the Galaxy Prevail thats the least of all of them to be there. Its not even using touchwiz!
7. TechnoTechyes (Posts: 56; Member since: 24 Jan 2011)
If Apple really wanted to play fair, they would be good with the money. Imposing injunctions only proves that Samsung makes a product the iPhone cannot compete with.
30. quickweevil (Posts: 51; Member since: 21 Dec 2011)
The iPhone can't compete with products that aren't even sold anymore?
38. remixfa (Posts: 14224; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
according to apple, products that were not in direct competition were harming them. The Vibrant and SGS2 hercules that they claimed against were Tmobile only phones.. neither of which competed directly with the iphone since there was no iphone on the carrier.

Looks like my Samsung Brightside is safe.
9. solidsnakeduds013 (Posts: 218; Member since: 20 Oct 2010)
Im surprised they didn't ban the S3. Good thing they didn't i need to get my hands on one!
11. e.wvu (unregistered)
The S3 wasn't involved with this case. But I'm sure Apple is going to try to ban it sooner or later, because it "looks" like an iPhone. Lol.
10. e.wvu (unregistered)
Yea .... Someone is definitely going to be walking around the streets saying that they got an iPhone when it's really an Epic Touch 4G. But most of the phones on this list doesn't even matter because they are either discontinued or they don't sell well anyway. Samsung won't even get affected by this, if so, very little.
12. Commentator (Posts: 2558; Member since: 16 Aug 2011)
I'm pretty sure by "Epic 4G" you meant "Epic Touch 4G." And no, it is not a QWERTY slider...
13. som (Posts: 768; Member since: 10 Nov 2009)
Apple CEOs, lawyers, jurors and Judge Koh are smoking cracks. APPLE won the Patent Wars and banned Samsung devices are unfair and descriminated.
15. MartyK (Posts: 728; Member since: 11 Apr 2012)
Heck!, most of these phone are outdated, people has move on the HTC Evo LTE and SGS-3 and waiting on the next Nexus...hahahah
Just like their phone, Apple is a joke..hahahah
16. som (Posts: 768; Member since: 10 Nov 2009)
Now Samsung must triple the price of components supplies to Apple to make up the billion dollars awarded to Apple by Madame Koh.
19. JessJess (unregistered)
They have a contract. It has nothing to do with this case. If I remember correctly I read that Apple are already starting to look elsewhere anyway, doubt they will continue to be supplied by Shamsung.
27. Aeires (unregistered)
Probably right, and it'll be a mistake on Apple's part. While Sharp does make some great screens like Samsung does, they have yet to find a chip supplier that has the quality of Samsung. And there's a capacity issue as well, Samsung can bring the parts because their production facilities are big enough to keep up.
We really don't know the contracts or amount of money that changes hands between Apple and Samsung but I'd bet Apple would have to do a lot more damage before Samsung took the gloves off and cut off Apple. Apple is like the big rich, high tipping customer that frequents your restaurant and gives you grief, but you keep making the reservations because their money is good.
17. theBankRobber (Posts: 649; Member since: 22 Sep 2011)
If others are forced to make their patents a Standard, then so should Apple.
18. TheRetroReplay (Posts: 245; Member since: 20 Mar 2012)
Oh my precious Galaxy Nexus is not on the list that makes me happy. All those phones aren't even in production anymore or are now on the low-spend tier of phones. The Droid Charge and S2 are all outdated, there's no point in banning them from sale now. Especially if those are the phones that "damaged" Apple and they're getting 1.05 billion dollars from them.
If it's sending a message to not copy Apple's patents that they stole it's a moot message as all other OEMs have evolved Android in their own way with their UIs that it's going to get harder for Apple to prove that they "copied" them.
20. rusticguy (Posts: 2828; Member since: 11 Aug 2012)
This is best ever 1 billion dollar ad campaign that Samsung could ever have hoped for. More Apple does this more they lose would be clients ... yes they could hold on to their existing clients perhaps. I am dead sure i would never buy any apple device no matter what. So what if Samsung Copied Apple ... who cares ... even M$ coipied Apple on GUI but Apple lost the trade dress case back in the 90's. This ntime around they won as they are fighting an "Outsider" and juror decided hey just overlook prior art case as it is bogging us down and we need to punish samsung hard ... :)
21. JessJess (unregistered)
I'm 90% sure this would have no impact whatsoever on any normal persons choice. I am dead sure you wouldn't have purchased any Apple device regardless of the outcome or existence of this trial anyway, so what does that have to do with it?
35. rusticguy (Posts: 2828; Member since: 11 Aug 2012)
Yes true as long as chocies are not restricted through legal process and trhat's preciselyt what apple has been trying ... narrow/eliminate the choices :)
26. TheRetroReplay (Posts: 245; Member since: 20 Mar 2012)
Actually Microsoft and Apple copied Xerox when it came to the GUI. Apple just got copied first and that was in the 80s and Apple lost the case because Microsoft proved prior art.
34. rusticguy (Posts: 2828; Member since: 11 Aug 2012)
Yes but Xerox lost against Apple at the same time. So money power rules?
23. savezo007 (Posts: 41; Member since: 12 Aug 2012)
oh thats a relief they're not banning the GS3
28. gallitoking (Posts: 4693; Member since: 17 May 2011)
Samsung copied and is official, it started donwhill for Samsung when their best defense was the LG Prada...
52. Non_Sequitur (Posts: 1111; Member since: 16 Mar 2012)
Yeah, okay. Maybe a little bit, but the only thing they really did was copy the icons a bit. Over a billion dollars to Apple for icons is ridiculous.
56. InspectorGadget80 (Posts: 6803; Member since: 26 Mar 2011)
you probably can't see the U.S. models doesn't looks like the INTERNATIONAL GS I
29. master0fursinz (Posts: 104; Member since: 26 Apr 2010)
it all comes down to the icons and gesture controls for the phones that were banned.
31. ivanko34 (Posts: 617; Member since: 04 Sep 2011)
Apple should ask to ban all the phones of all other manufacturers
But only in amerika
I live in Europe do I dint care
32. ekia007 (Posts: 61; Member since: 27 Feb 2012)
This is ridiculous. Samsung galaxy products are nowhere have the same design to the Apple product. I was able to differentiate between iPhone and Galaxy S, SII. F*** u Apple ( Steve Jobs and Tim Cook). Hey apple, I am not sure if your company is innovated enough, you have yet fail to deliver LTE on your iPhone. We have been seeing its on Samsung products more than 1 year. So stop saying, you are an innovated company.
39. dragonscourgex (Posts: 307; Member since: 16 Jan 2012)
I still don't understand the jury decision. One of the guys I work with has a GS2. I was telling him today, that he know have a one of a kind. That it go ban for looking like a Iphone. First question out his mouth was, "how does this look like a iphone". Yep, jury was ether paid off, or idiots.
42. rudlie (Posts: 182; Member since: 13 Mar 2012)
Apple does not seek money, Apple only seek product banned.
43. qwertypoor (Posts: 72; Member since: 09 Jun 2012)
They was just starting to put sg2 on pre-paid I assume to compete against 4s
44. rusticguy (Posts: 2828; Member since: 11 Aug 2012)
Apple isn't just a patent troll but it is also using proxies for patent trolling also. Good to see how "most valuable company" wants all competition out (so called Thermonuclear Strategy)
47. ftyler223 (Posts: 140; Member since: 06 Aug 2012)
its funny how samsung has to keep making new products to continue to sell, and apple just sells the same product over and over for 2 yrs straight then makes something new. i wonder why....ohh because apple makes a better product maybe. isnt this proof you droidtards? of course a yr later phones are gonna come out with better specs cuz obviously apple cant just all together change the specs in whats already there. but its also funny how this iphone with lower specs on paper still runs smoother than the piece of s**t droid.
49. Loafninja (Posts: 30; Member since: 25 Jan 2012)
This article couldn't have screwed up their #6 any more than it did.
It has a picture of an Epic 4G Touch, calls it an Epic 4G, says it's part of the SGS II family, mentions its qwerty slider, then says it's 99.99 on contract.
You guys realize the Epic 4G and Epic 4G touch are two different phones, don't you?
53. sommyt (Posts: 2; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
Apple is so stupid but guys take it easy on them when u have zero self esteem u tend to bully others come on anybody here that has used a galaxy s2 knows much better it is than the iFail 4s oops I am sorry iPhone 4s apple is scared Samsung is doing it like a boss they can't compete with them.....
Notice they didnt include my boss phone the galaxy s3 but when the iPhone 5 comes out they find a way to say Samsung used voodoo to see the future and copy the iPhone 5.....
Apple should be ashamed by themselves doing this to the people that make your own for the people that make your own chipset..... sms SAMSUNG U HAVE MTG FULL SUPPORT KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND DESTROY THE IFAI. I AM SO SORRY THE IPHONE 5S WITH POSSIBLY THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S4

Many iFans who try Android phones, actually stay with Android as they learn that they have missed quite a bit from being ties down to itunes.
