Apple might switch to 9-pin dock connector, iOS 6 beta reveals

0. phoneArena posted on 08 Aug 2012, 04:33

Something that all iPhone 5 rumors agree on is that the smartphone's next iteration will have a smaller dock connector. What that will look like and how it will connect to the device, however, is not exactly clear. Some sources claim that a redesigned 19-pin connector will be used, while others point at a possible 8-pin interface. Yet now it seems that neither of these speculations got the magic number right...

The big news here is still the fact that 'Youtube has gone AWOL'. Let's see, no YouTube App and no Adobe Flash; I guess you'll be listening to a whole lotta' music on that thing, hence and therefore, a great "Music Player". Me' thinks that Android activations are going to be upto 300 million in Q4 once this new iDud gets released.

Wager, anyone?

If apple change the dock connector, it goves hard time to the accessory manufacturers.

No apple is changing the connector port not only to create more space internally but to make sales a s**t ton off new accessories. think of all the people that have recycled they're ihomes and such with every single iphone and iPod that have come out. now this puts all these users in a position tspend more money on a new ihome with the latest connector por. which means more money for apple. because 1 these accessory companies are making money off sales of the iPhone and apple is making money because of all these little accessory companies marketing they're stuff being made for.iPhone. they are so smart. its obvious this what they are doing.
