Exactly. As an incremental change, it most likely won't be 4G and hence not a competitor for a high end smartphone. IMO once you've tried 4G, it has to be on my list of features for a high end phone. Still a solid product but in October, I think the win will go to Android. Maybe when the real iPhone 5 comes out in 2012, we'll see something exciting.

Why does it matter?
Sure Android might have more features and dual core processors....
But iOS has apps. And that's all consumers really care about except power users.
Also, until ICS android will never have the smoothness of an iphone 4.
Sure android has widgets... but Ios still has apps.
I had 3 iPhones then moved to android.
I now have an htc inspire and dont plan on going back.
But everyone has their own needs and most people just need the larger selection of games and apps that ios offers.

Seen this argument before, and I still don't have a good answer....
What does "Bluetooth sharing" give you that the Bump app doesn't?
Video sharing? Have fun waiting to x-fer that 300MB video over Bluetooth. Docs sharing? Use Dropbox or SugarSync. Please advise.

I personally would not invest in an iPhone, but i can see why other people would want to. It's sleek and attractive build and body, the way how anyone can use iOS... but let's be honest, Apple is designing the iPhone models for people who are new to the smartphone world and need something easy to comprehend. It should've been designed as a launching pad of smartphones, however they make the iOS and the body of the iPhone so likable that people who get iPhones will want to keep getting iPhones. A small but significant amount of people who get iPhones will later move on to an Android and BB and WP7, and the majority will stay loyal to the iPhone. This is how Apple designed it to be and how it was meant to be.

I'm a diehard fan of android (original droid) and I even bought the bionic 2 weeks ago, but the battery life was horrible even with 4g turned off so I returned it. I'm waiting for the iphone and I'm going to give it a shot, if I don't like it then I guess I'll be stuck with it for 2 years and go back to android after...

Not sure why you got thumbed down. Sounds like a reasonable story. Do you have to wait 24 mos on Verizon? On AT&T you can upgrade after 20 mos.

I'm gonna troll over to the NIKE shoe forums soon and watch people argue over which shoe is better, even though they all probably do the same thing. Just trolling. HAHA!!!
